As a key member of the SLS team, you will provide exceptional service to our guests by making outside calls and answering the switchboard according to established departmental standards.

You will be responsible for telephoning guests in accordance with their wake-up call requests, adhering to prescribed standards, and notifying Security if the guest fails to answer. Additionally, you will facilitate inland and international calls for guests as required, ensuring that these are administered and charged correctly in line with procedure.

To excel in this role, you must be fully conversant with all aspects of bleep procedures, including emergency testing. You will activate internal and external pagers as per procedure, input and update guest messages within the Opera system, and utilize guest names and your own name wherever possible.

It is essential to take and place room service orders accurately, repeating back the order to the guest as per procedure. Furthermore, you will familiarize yourself with the guest's needs and requirements to ensure an efficient and friendly service experience. Creating and maintaining a personal and respectful rapport with regular guests is also crucial in this position.

  • Fluency in Arabic is a must.
  • Prior experience in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel, is desirable.
  • You should be proficient in using computers and/or point-of-sale systems to enter and locate work-related information.
  • A gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor is essential.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of attention to detail is vital.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
