Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Overall Design Direction: Develop and implement design strategies that align with ALDAR's business objectives and ensure feasibility and test fits.
  • Provide Input and Innovative Ideas: Contribute to the development of innovative design solutions that meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage Client Design Briefs: Oversee the creation of client design briefs that clearly outline project requirements and expectations.
  • Participate in Prequalification Process: Assist in the prequalification process and oversee assessments of consultants to ensure they meet ALDAR's standards.
  • Assist and Oversee Brief and Scope Sections: Assist in the development of brief and scope sections of the RFP to ensure clarity and accuracy.
  • Oversee and Approve Tender Evaluations: Oversee and approve tender evaluations for technical stage submissions in conjunction with the line manager.
  • Establish and Manage Design Guidelines: Establish and manage the ALDAR Design Guidelines with input from Design Excellence and Projects functions.
  • Review Project Implementation Plan: Review the Project Implementation Plan for each special development project to ensure alignment with ALDAR's objectives.
  • Manage and Develop Bidders Recommendation Report: Manage and develop the Bidders Recommendation Report to ensure accurate and comprehensive information.
  • Participate in Design Presentations: Participate in all design presentations and review all design-related submittals from concept to final delivery.
  • Administer Consultant Contract: Administer, where necessary, the consultant contract in relation to contract implementation, measuring completed work for payments, variation orders, etc.
  • Assist in Managing and Approving Value Engineering Options: Assist in managing and approving all proposed value engineering options to ensure alignment with ALDAR's objectives.
  • Oversee Design Progress: Oversee the management design progress against the program to ensure timely completion and quality.
  • Review Design Documentation: Review design documentation for the purpose of validating brief/code compliance.
  • Assist in Ensuring Design Integrity: Assist in ensuring the integrity of the approved design is maintained through project delivery and handover, working with project stakeholders to assess, manage, and document any design changes.
  • Assist in Obtaining Design NOCs: Assist in obtaining design NOCs in conjunction with stakeholder management function.
  • Assist in Obtaining Utility/DOT/ADM/etc. NOC's: Assist in obtaining Utility/DOT/ADM/etc. NOC's in order to obtain a Building Permit through the consultants.
  • Review and Approve Proposed Materials: Review and approve all proposed materials, their substitutes, and colors to ensure alignment with ALDAR's standards.
  • Ensure Adherence to Estidama Standards: Ensure adherence to Estidama standards to ensure sustainability and environmental responsibility.
  • Liaise with Consultants: Liaise with consultants and ensure that all drawing submittals are in line with ALDAR's specifications.

Qualifications and Experience:

RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Min of 10+ years of experience in design process for developments with CAPEX 4+ billion AED.

YEARS IN A MANAGERIAL POSITION: Min of 2+ years in a managerial position.
