About the Role

The Lead Geophysicist will be responsible for leading a team of geophysicists and providing technical guidance in all aspects of geophysical studies. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing geophysical projects and leading high-performance technical teams.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead and mentor a team of geophysicists, providing technical guidance
  2. Undertake, manage, and deliver high-quality technical project work
  3. Provide technical scope and deliverables for project proposals
  4. Contribute to business development activities
  5. Manage execution of geophysical projects ensuring timely delivery
  6. Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives for the geophysics team
  7. Organise and contribute to partner workshops and meetings
  8. Track performance and manage costs of geophysics budget items
  9. Evaluation of geophysical contracts including evaluation of new technologies and equipment
  10. Design and oversee acquisition, processing, and interpretation of geophysical data
  11. Advise on best equipment and software choices for geophysical data acquisition and processing
  12. Design acquisition reporting templates and other appropriate documentation
  13. Oversee seismic interpretation and cross-discipline data integration
  14. Prepare and deliver technical reports, presentations, and documentation
  15. Present interpretations, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders
  16. Provide mentoring and technical assistance to younger technical staff
