Our client is seeking an experienced and discreet House Manager, with a background in managing residences for ultra-high net worth individuals (UHNW), to oversee the operations and maintenance of a prestigious private estate.

As the House Manager, he/she will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the residence whilst providing the highest level of service and confidentiality.

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Property Management**:

- Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day management and maintenance of the principal's residence, including interior and exterior areas, grounds, and amenities.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, preventative maintenance programs, and regular inspections to ensure the property is maintained to the highest standards.
- Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for repairs, renovations, and special projects as needed.

**2. Staff Management**:

- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise household staff, including housekeepers, chefs, chauffeurs, gardeners, and security personnel.
- Establish clear expectations, guidelines, and performance standards for all staff members, providing ongoing training and support as needed.
- Manage staff schedules, assignments, and payroll, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient workflow to meet the principal's needs.

**3. Guest Services**:

- Coordinate all aspects of guest visits and entertainment, including accommodations, transportation, dining arrangements, and recreational activities.
- Welcome guests upon arrival, ensure their comfort and satisfaction during their stay, and facilitate any special requests or preferences.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all interactions with guests, respecting their privacy and personal preferences.

**4. Administrative Support**:

- Manage household budgets, expenses, and financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the principal's financial guidelines and policies.
- Handle correspondence, scheduling, and other administrative tasks on behalf of the principal, demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate records of household inventory, valuables, and assets, implementing security measures to protect the principal's interests.

**5. Event Planning and Management**:

- Plan and coordinate special events, gatherings, and celebrations hosted at the residence, including parties, dinners, fundraisers, and charity events.
- Liaise with event planners, caterers, florists, and other vendors to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.
- Manage event budgets, logistics, and timelines, providing creative solutions and attention to detail to exceed expectations.

**6. Security and Safety**:

- Implement comprehensive security measures and protocols to safeguard the residence, the principal, and their guests against potential risks and threats.
- Collaborate with security professionals and technology experts to assess security needs, deploy surveillance systems, and establish emergency response plans.
- Conduct regular security audits and training sessions for staff members to promote awareness and preparedness.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a House Manager or Estate Manager for UHNW individuals or families, with a proven track record of success and discretion.
- Exceptional organisational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively.
- Strong understanding of luxury service standards, etiquette, and protocols, with a commitment to excellence in hospitality.
- Knowledge of property management principles, including maintenance, landscaping, and household operations.
- Proficiency in budget management, financial reporting, and administrative tasks, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions, respecting the privacy and preferences of the principal and their guests.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required, with availability for travel as needed.
- Valid driver's licence and clean driving record, with the ability to operate various types of vehicles.
- Additional certifications or training in security, hospitality, event planning, or related fields are a plus.
