We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Animal Keeper to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As an Assistant Animal Keeper, you will play a crucial role in the care, feeding, and enrichment of our animal residents, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the daily care and husbandry of animals, including feeding, cleaning, grooming, and providing enrichment activities.
- Prepare and distribute diets for animals according to established guidelines and dietary requirements.
- Clean and maintain animal enclosures, habitats, and exhibit areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- Assist with the observation and monitoring of animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns or abnormalities to the senior animal care staff.
- Participate in animal handling and restraint under the guidance of experienced keepers, ensuring the safety and welfare of both animals and staff.
- Assist with the implementation of enrichment programs and activities to promote natural behaviors and mental stimulation for animals.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of exhibits, events, and educational programs involving animals.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth operation of daily routines and special events.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines for working with animals, including safety procedures and biosecurity measures.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care activities, including feeding schedules, health observations, and enrichment efforts.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance animal care skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to animal care and welfare.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with animals in a zoo, aquarium, wildlife park, or similar setting is preferred but not required.
- Passion for animal welfare and a genuine desire to contribute to the care and well-being of animals.
- Basic knowledge of animal husbandry principles, including feeding, cleaning, and enrichment.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and agility to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and walking, often in outdoor environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with colleagues and visitors in a professional manner.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings, as needed.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the UAE.
