Position Summary: The Chaplain Associate works in collaboration with Director of Care and Culture and other staff involved in the spiritual ministry of the hospital to ensure the fulfillment of the spiritual objectives of the hospital in ways that are culturally relevant and sensitive. The primary role of the Care and Culture Associate is to support Director of Care and Culture in the effort toward integrating the core values of the Hospital into the lives and work of the hospital staff, to assist the staff in the integration of faith and work and visiting patients in their rooms for necessary support.

**Responsibilities**:

- Respond to inquiries, requests for information directed to Care and Culture dept
- Transmitting information accurately and tactfully to our staff
- chapel, bible studies and other activities organized by the dept.
- Maintain office files, staff counseling files, and other appropriate records.
- Prepare study materials and other documents as requested by the Director
- Maintain inventory of office stipends and support to the dept in coordination with Finance office.
- Perform general clerical duties including organizing, filing, shredding and photocopying documents and files, etc.
- Compose written correspondence and materials; create and update all departmental forms and upload devotions into the intranet; prepare minutes, take notes at meetings reports, statistical data, and other Microsoft office related materials.
- Keep all staff duty records and performances on daily basis.
Arrange staff meetings and counseling appointments.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, send out meeting notices and maintain the department calendar.
- Manage distribution of all incoming and outgoing mail; screen and respond as necessary. Assemble attachments and corresponding material.
- Perform assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards in a safe manner and with mínimal supervision
- Performs job responsibilities in an ethical, compliant manner consistent with the organizations values, policies, procedures and guidelines.
- To maintain a high standard of confidentiality at all times.
- To ensure all mandatory training is completed and updated as required.
- To be responsible for ensuring own continuous development and that administrative skills meet the needs of the service.
- Performs other related duties as directed
- Work closely with Director of Care and Culture to develop initiatives to encourage spiritual and emotional growth among all hospital staff.
- Provide support for patients and staff as needed including Counseling.
- Organize chapel activities and be involved in the chapel as delegated.
- Attend department and team meetings as requested.
- Support and encourage spiritual and mental health activities in the hospital such as worship, learning, discipleship and equipping that strive to meet staff needs in regard to content, style, and timing
- Encourage and assist in department prayer and spiritual development initiatives.
- Be available for staff and patient visits as needed especially in the area of grieve support.
- Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein or as directed.
