Holiday Inn is the first of its brand in Abu Dhabi featuring 203 modern and stylish rooms, wide variety of food & beverage outlets - Indulge in a variety of international flavors at the Silk Route Café. For a lively night out, hit the Thirty 1st Bar & Lounge with amazing views of the Abu Dhabi skyline or visit Hubbly Bubbly, our shisha café for a traditional Arabic experience under the stars. For Sushi lovers, SushiSan offers the sushi as it should be. Stock Burger Co. is a new casual dining concept defined by a perfect and always appealing pairing premium burgers and craft brew and all in addition to meeting rooms and banqueting facilities.
The hotel is a kilometer away from Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), very close to the diplomatic enclave. The hotel's fitness facilities are located at the top floor and offer great views of the city. Besides a well-equipped fitness room, Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi offers a pool and three massage rooms.
**Your day to day**
Join our team as **Finance and Business Support Manager** in Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi. You’ll have ambition, talent and obviously some talent skills.
Provide management with timely financial analysis for effective decision-making. Prepare all statutory and management requirements of InterContinental Hotels Group and Owners. Perform professional accounting duties to maintain control over expenses, income, assets, and liability of the hotel to ensure the security of the assets of the company in a centralized accounting environment.
Positions Supervised: Accountant, General Cashier/Paymaster, Income Auditor, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Purchasing and Receiving Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities - (Key Activities of the role)
FINANCIAL RETURNS
- Works with superior in the preparation and management of the department’s budget. Duties include:
- Assists in co-ordinating the preparation of the departmental annual budget, monthly forecasts and corporate/owner reporting.
- Assists in monitoring and controlling departmental cost on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget
- Assists in the preparation of the hotel strategic plan, goals program, and Finance Departmental Budget
PEOPLE
- Cooperates, coordinates and communicates with other departments in matters concerning accounting related matters and internal control
- Interacts, as required, with individuals outside the hotel including hotel’s bank, auditors and other hotels and IHG corporate offices
- Ensures training needs analysis of Finance staff is carried out and training programmes are designed and implemented to meet needs.
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
- Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines
- Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
- Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
ACCOUNTABILITY
- Ensure compliance to the IHG policies, procedures and statutory requirement
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures to improve the work flows in accounts department
- Assists and provides financial guidance in the formulation and implementation of Strategic Plan, Budget and KPO’s (Goals Program).
- Ensure an up-to-date cash flow projection is maintained and maximizes cash flow performance of the hotel through controls on inventory, credit and collection, disbursement, deposits and remittances. Ensure excess cash is managed to maximize earning potential.
- Responsible for month end closing including the IHG and owner reporting package
- Take over any other tasks and special projects which arise in the course of business
