**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To assist the Senior Leadership Team in shaping a vision and direction for the phase, setting out very high expectations with a clear focus on pupil achievement, standards and quality of teaching.
- To inspire, motivate, empower and influence staff and students within the phase team, taking a leading role in maintaining the highest standards of learning, teaching and behaviour management.
- To provide an excellent role model for all members of staff and for students in all aspects of school life.
- To have a dynamic solution-based approach to leadership.
- To play a significant role in implementing, reviewing and measuring impact of the whole School Evaluation and School Improvement Plan (SIP) and effectively ensure a SIP is in place for the phase.
- To monitor, evaluate and review learning, teaching, curriculum and assessment through formal and informal book looks, learning walks and observations.
- To make a significant contribution to the school’s continuing professional development programme, delivering PD and working with individuals and teams in a variety of professional development activities.
- To use data analysis, student Progress Meetings and relevant assessment information to set targets for improvement across the phase and analyse the impact of this.
- To coordinate and support in the delivery of the intervention programme within the Phase and review and evaluate the impact of this.
- To monitor and promote excellent attendance and punctuality of all students in the Phase.
- To monitor, evaluate and review learning, teaching, curriculum and assessment through formal and informal book looks, learning walks and observations.- To work with the inclusion team to identify and monitor students with SEN and those who are Gifted and Talented to ensure they receive the appropriate support.
- To have responsibility for the effective line management of the Grade Group Leaders, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities and fulfil these to a high standard.
- To quality assure all pastoral care and the monitoring of behaviour, rewards and consequences in line with school policy within the Phase.
- To work collaboratively with other phase leaders, ensuring an understanding of whole school issues.
- To lead on a whole school area of responsibility, agreed in consultation with Line Manager and based on needs of SIP

**REQUIREMENTS**:
**Minimum Qualifications**

**KG** - Bachelor's Degree in Early Years Education or alternate BA/B.Sc degree with PGCE, showing a specialism in Early Years or equivalent Teaching Qualification is essential. Desirable: A Master’s degree

**Elementary - B**achelor's degree in education or alternate BA/B.Sc degree with PGCE, or equivalent Teaching Qualification is essential. Desirable: A Master’s degree

**Minimum Experience**
- 6-years’ experience of which 4 consecutive years teaching performance exceeds standards and expectations as evidenced by performance appraisal.
- Leadership experience is desirable
- Experience of working in US Curriculum is desirable.
