Prime Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the strategic development of special education needs (SEN) policy and provision in the school, to support individual student needs.
- Lead the inclusion team
- manage learning support teachers and support staff to improve pupil progress and attainment.
- Experience in using a variety of assessment tools to identify students’ needs
- Work with admissions team and phase Heads, to ensure all prospective students are accurately assessed prior to enrollment.
- Monitor and assess SEN students and gift and talented students' progress and attainment, including observations in the classroom and meetings with teachers and parents.
- Provide regular updates on pupil progress through written reports and meetings with parents.
- Make referrals and liaise with professionals - this could include psychologists, health and social care providers, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists.
- Provide advice, guidance, and training to classroom teachers on supporting pupils with SEN.
- Support teachers in developing modified lesson plans, schemes of work, and learning programs for pupils with SEN.
- Support teachers to develop and implement effective teaching and behavior management approaches in the classroom.
- Manage and advise on the resources for SEN provision.
- Leading CPD, briefings, projects, and activities.

Develop and maintain systems for keeping pupil records, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
- Manage the inclusion register and associated documents to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Keep up to date with national and local policies related to SEN and cascade information to colleagues.

Qualifications & Experience

A Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Special Education ( Mandatory )

A teaching Diploma in Special education

ADEK approval as SENCO will be preferred.

At least 2 years of Experience leading a successful SEN team.
