**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**

**POSITION OVERVIEW**:
The role of a bakery and pastry production supervisor is crucial in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of a bakery. As a bakery and pastry production supervisor, your primary responsibility is to oversee the entire production process, from the preparation of ingredients to the packaging and delivery of finished products.
Another important aspect of the job is to ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the production process. This includes conducting regular inspections and quality checks to ensure that products meet YANA’s bakery standards and customer expectations. You will need to address any issues or concerns related to product quality promptly and take appropriate corrective actions. YANA’s bakery production supervisor is responsible for monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with the purchasing department to ensure an adequate supply of ingredients and packaging materials. You will need to keep track of inventory, place orders, and manage the storage of raw materials and finished products. As YANA’s bakery production supervisor, you will also be responsible for maintaining production records, analyzing data, and generating reports. This information is vital for tracking productivity, identifying areas for improvement, and making informed decisions.

**WORK EXPERIENCE**

**PREREQUISITE SKILLS**:
1. Knowledge of Baking Techniques: YANA’s bakery production supervisor should possess a strong understanding of baking techniques, including knowledge of different breads, pastries, and desserts.
This includes understanding the ingredients, measurements, and baking processes required for various products.

2. Food Safety and Hygiene: Ensuring the safety and hygiene of the bakery products is crucial. A production supervisor should have a thorough understanding of food safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices. Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical
Control Points) principles is also important.

3. Leadership and Management Skills: As a bakery production supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of bakers and production workers. Strong leadership and management skills are necessary to effectively delegate tasks, provide guidance, and motivate the team to achieve production targets and maintain quality standards.

4. Organizational and Time Management Skills: YANA’s bakery production supervisor must be highly organized and possess excellent time management skills. This includes the ability to plan and schedule production activities, coordinate with other departments, and ensure efficient use of resources to meet production deadlines.

5. Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Abilities: In YANA bakery production environment, unexpected challenges may arise. The supervisor should possess strong problem-solving skills to quickly identify issues, analyze them, and make effective decisions to resolve them. This includes addressing equipment malfunctions, ingredient shortages, or quality control issues.

6. Communication Skills: Effective communication is essential for a bakery production supervisor.
