The impact you have in this role
As Assistant Controller, you will have the opportunity to put your curiosity to good use and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people in the world. Here's how to make an impact:
- Taking responsibility to produce accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and local laws
- Working with GSC team to manage the monthly financial close process
- Ensuring Balance Sheet quality - full compliance with GFS, and improving understanding across business teams
- Assuming ownership of the country statutory financial statement preparation
- Taking oversight of country treasury and tax operations in cooperation with global Tax/Treasury teams
- Managing timely, clear and concise communication of material items impacting financial results
- Liaising with other finance disciplines
- Liaising with external financial and regulatory bodies
- Building an understanding of the financial systems in use across countries
- Taking responsibility for timely and complete account reconciliations for the country in partnership with the service delivery teams
- Representing Finance on the Country Leadership Team, supporting country teams in decision making process from financial perspective
- Taking responsibility for Key Metrics - in particular:
- Country statutory financial statements, Reconciliations, Controls, MEC timetable, Open audit points, cost to serve etc.
Your Skills and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance and/or Economics from an accredited university
- CMA/CIMA/ACCA will be an advantage
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Finance
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience leading or participating on project teams
- Annual financial statutory audit experience is essential
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Project management hands on experience
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Ability to effectively manage tough deadlines
