by what the ‘face’ can do, the first point of contact in any organization is the most

important person, competent Receptionist is critical in the smooth running of our Salon, being the first and last point of contact for any clients visiting us.

The job description of the salon receptionist is to ensure that clients/customers do not experience difficulties while in the salon by giving them the information they need and making them feel comfortable.

Ultimately, you will help boost our reputation by building friendly, trusting relationships with customers.

**Responsibilities**
- Warmly greet clients, walk them to the proper beauty station and inform assigned beautician of their arrival
- Making sure the smooth operation of the reception
- Process transactions (cash and credit cards) and issue receipts. End day settlement of CC transactions.
- Strictly follows rules of the management and act as the model for all of the employees.
- Offer beverages and chat with clients who are in the waiting area
- Deal with customer complaints in calm and respectful manner.
- Welcome walk-ins, answer questions about services and schedule appointments based on availability
- Inform clients about new services and discounts
- Cross-sell services and products when appropriate (e.g. through informative brochures and gift cards)
- Update client records with contact and billing details, appointments and services offered
- Maintain a clean and tidy reception area
- Order business cards, brochures and stationery as needed
- Create daily sales reports at the end of the operation and report together with the daily expenses.
- Respond to and take appropriate actions and Report to managers relating to safety and damages.
- Responsible for Maintaining the cleanliness and stocks of the mini bar for salon guests/clients.
- Capturing photos and taking videos for social media purposes and forwarding it to Creative Director.
- Maintaining detailed record of Inventory for stock management and ordering.
- Keep track of complaints /suggestions of clients
- Make sure lighting and other devices are prepared before the day and to be switched off at the end of the day.
- Morning shift reception must be at least 15 minutes early to avoid complaints from early booking clients. Closing reception is not allowed to leave before the closing time not unless no more appointments/clients around the salon, they can do so 15 minutes before the closing.

**Proper Grooming**
- Personal cleanliness is important in any walk of life, particularly in our salon where assistants very often work physically hard, in warm surroundings (which increases sweating), and are also in close proximity to the client.
- Body odour and bad breath can be offensive to both the client and other members of staff, and steps should be taken to ensure personal freshness at all times.
- Staff should always look neat and well groomed.
- Hair should be kept clean and well cut and if possible it should be colored this encourages the client to do likewise.
- Nails and hands should be well cared for. Nails must be kept clean and at a reasonable length to prevent scratching the client's scalp. If any stylists use nail polish it should be un-chipped.
- Avoid wearing excessive amounts of jewelry.

**Requirements - Knowledge Skills**
- Proven work experience as a Salon Receptionist or similar role
- Presentable - always wear make-up, tidy hair and wear proper uniform
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Good knowledge of hair care and beauty products.
- Hands-on experience with office equipment, like printers and POS systems
- Familiarity with processing transactions
- Ability to respond to a complaint or resolve issues with clients in a reputable manner.
- Friendly, personable, good customer service and a positive attitude towards clients
- Committed to professionalism and cooperation
- Solid organization and record-keeping skills

**Salary**: From AED4,000.00 per month
