**Job Title: Assistant Apparel Merchandiser**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Work closely with the Design Team and Production Team, assisting in the complete merchandising process from sample development to bulk production.
- Assisting the Design Team to organize fabric swatches, trims, accessories, mock ups etc.
- Collaborate with vendors to source high-quality materials within budget constraints. Negotiate with vendors for best prices, leadtimes and MOQs.
- Assisting Design Team to translate design concepts into accurate and well-constructed patterns and be able to propose suitable fabrics and trims for respective industries, work on protos for bulk manufacturing, conduct wearer and wash trials.
- Assist to provide clear and detailed instructions to respective teams to ensure the accurate execution of patterns, proto samples and final PP samples.
- Be able to communicate and coordinate flawlessly with overseas vendors for all types of developments.
- Stay informed about current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products.
- Prepare detailed design specifications, including measurements, construction details, and material requirements.
- Responsible for checking and approving fabric qualities, protos, size sets, techpacks, PP samples.

**Qualifications and Required**
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience of around 3-5 years as a Fashion Designer or Apparel Development Merchandiser.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage.
- Good IT skills and hands on knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc)
- Strong understanding of garment construction, technical skills, têxtiles, and manufacturing processes.
- Should be able to identify the different weaves, blends, weights, knowledge of print techniques, embroidery techniques, fabric finishes, washes, treatments etc.
- Creative and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Should have strong verbal communication skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From AED3,500.00 per month
