Job Scope:
To Support, maintain & secure all Retail IT systems, network and company data and support the enhancement of IT systems across GMG in line with corporate strategic objectives.

**Job Performance Indicator**:

- Ensure all system compliances are in place within department guidelines

**About the role**:

- To provide information and advice to the department Head on retail system risks and issues as appropriate
- To assist in the development of a retail strategy and associate policies and plans
- To be responsible for a seamlessly integrated retail system that supports the changing and developing needs of clients in accordance with companies' initiatives and policies.
- To ensure the provision and maintenance of operational retail systems and services, that are secure, reliable and value for money
- User support, maintaining and troubleshooting retail operations, retail systems and networks.
- To lead the development of key performance indicators and performance management reports for retail system services in partnership with clients, to assess and monitor the quality of the services provided
- To manage, develop and train staff within the Retail system team, ensuring that they are motivated and equipped to deliver a high-quality service to agreed standards
- To be responsible for budget management for the retail system service
- To lead the development of the retail system, including procurement, future-proofing options development and appraisal
- To lead the implementation of all retail system security policies ensuring compliance with Information governance, legal, regulatory and mandatory requirements, including those for data protection confidentiality and security.
- To plan, design and install new retail solutions, co-ordinating project groups, consultants and suppliers so that the solutions meet identified requirements, budgets and timescales.
- To lead disaster recovery and business continuity plans and procedures
- Actively participate in system and process discussions and problem-solving sessions with other developers, leadership, and business partners

**System compliances**:

- Prepare concise and accurate documentation for all enhancements and change requests implemented to meet departmental guidelines.
- Prepare, and assist in creating policies and procedures to meet IT Governance standards. Provide regular feedback, and status on development and projects to line manager to ensure departmental performance is in line with business objectives.

**Academic and Professional Qualifications**
- Minimum: Bachelors in Engineering (IT or Computer Science or related fields) from a recognized university Desired: Postgraduate qualification, certifications in the latest technologies; etc.

**Professional experience**
- Minimum: 6 years of functional experience in the Retail Industry in the GCC region
- Essential:

- 4 years of experience managing, defining processes, and consulting on an enterprise-level
- Knowledge of best practices in the retail industry
- In-depth Knowledge of Retail Industry business processes
- Desired:

- ITIL, Project Management; Prince2, PMP and IT Governance
