Events Manager

Are you a seasoned and results-driven events professional looking to leverage your experience in a managerial role? ESM is actively seeking an Events Manager to lead our corporate and community events, steering the evolution of our Sports Series in alignment with our strategic plan.
**Job purpose**:
To lead the Events Division as Head of Department, focusing on corporate/community events business and developing the Sports Series in line with the strategic plan and objectives. The Event Manager is accountable for all events and will oversee delivery of all events and manage a team of event coordinators and assistants.
**Key objectives**:
- Create new corporate event business opportunities and retain existing clients by quality and relationship.
- Meet the financial targets as per yearly budget.
- Continue to develop the Sports Series and develop the event offering each academic year
- Business develop, manage and operate 5-10 large scale events per year
- Develop and conceptualize new mass participation events for ESM to own or JV and prepare for market
- Support the events staff to enhance the event delivery and SOPs of each project
- Maintain reporting and operational excellence for all clients (pre, during and post event)
- Follow company guidelines for reporting all incidents occurred during an event (pre, during and post)
- 100% compliance to the health and safety guidelines as per company standards
- Improve event department procedures and team structure
- Increase the events department marketing & social media coverage
**Set of required skills, knowledge and behaviours**:
**Desired qualifications**:
- Degree in Management/ Marketing/ Business/ Hospitality, or related field to the post.
**Desired experience**:
- 5 years+ in events and/or similar role
- Proven strategic management experience, exemplified through the achievement of financial targets and successful projects.
- Experience in the corporate events sector
