**Summary**:Huda Beauty is looking for a 2 PQE+ Data Privacy lawyer to join our Global Legal, Regulatory and Compliance team. You will report to Huda Beauty’s General Counsel. You are probably someone who is working in private practice in a leading data privacy practice looking to move in-house or you are already an in-house data privacy lawyer looking for a broader global role in a multi-national company.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Reporting: work directly with Huda Beauty’s General Counsel as a key internal point of contacton all matters concerning data privacy laws.
- Advisory: Advise all relevant business functions on all relevant data protection laws including aspects of data processing including collection, use, storage, transfers, disclosures, consent and so on.
- Structure: Support and co-develop Huda Beauty’s data protection programme structurally.
- Risk assessments: Conduct a comparative analysis and risk assessment market by market to identify any required remediation.
- Contracts: Lead the legal support for contract reviews and remediation as required for current and future vendorsincluding data processing agreements or standard contract clauses.
- Investigations: co-support on any investigations relating to potential data privacy issues including any requirements for reporting,
- Collaboration: Work very closely with key functions such as eCommerce, IT, Data Analytics and others to advise on complex data privacy and other legal issues with a view to arriving at compliant and commercially-practical solutions.
- Training and learning: Lead on legal training and learning across Huda Beauty’s functions globally, optimizing collaboration between functions and helping to embed a culture of compliance throughout the company.
- Future forward: Anticipate and horizon scan for legal developments and advise on necessary operational adjustments.
- External counsel: relationships are important so collaborating externally with leadership, working with industry associations and brand protection peers.
- Flexibility: You understand this is a global role which requires working closely and collaboratively with stakeholders in other time zones. This require agile working and a varied approach to managing and leading on issues.
- Get things done: Together with the General Counsel, foster an agile, cross-functional organisation focused on business excellence with doing the right thing and our unwavering passion for kindness.

**Requirements**:

- A law degree (or equivalent qualification) is required. A masters or other postgraduate degree in data protection is highly advantageous.
- Being admitted to a bar in a major jurisdiction is required.
- A clear understanding of major data protection laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulations and / or the California Consumer Privacy Act.
- Experience with data privacy enforcement is a plus.
- Commercially-astute, pragmatic individual who understands and manages legal risks and consequences together with business process, strategy and regulatory requirements.
- A proactive, decisive individual with demonstrable experience with influencing senior stakeholders. You should be detail-oriented and self-motivated.
- A positive team player, willing to wear many hats, roll-up-their-sleeves and get the job done in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrable experience in legal tech is advantageous.
- Fluent in English languge skills is essential; other fluent language skills from a major market of Huda Beauty’s operations is advantageous.
