**Job Summary**

Infrastructure Protection Trainer will operate as part of a 21-man multi-cultural Collective Training Team located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This position requires experience building realistic training environments through scalable scenarios, performing training oversight and assessment, and performing training support services (e.g., threat replication, maintaining the computer network, conducting After Action Reviews, etc.). The focus for collective training is replicating the environmental conditions and tactical tasks across the Infrastructure Protection and Security mission area. The Infrastructure Protection Trainer must be familiar with planning and conducting training seminars as well as conducting simulation-based training exercises. Experience with developing scenarios and conducting training using constructive (e.g., OneSAF, CORA, MASA-SWORD) and virtual simulations (VBS3/VB4) is desired. The Infrastructure Protection Trainer must have expertise in land and maritime-based critical infrastructure protection and security from land and maritime terrorist threats. This position requires deep understanding of Infrastructure Protection and Security roles, responsibilities and organizations, and how these concepts and capabilities can be scaled, adapted, and trained to support the establishing the UAE National Guard.

**Essential Functions**
- Plan and lead training seminars on infrastructure protection and security functions, operations, and capabilities in order to support core UAE National Guard missions and competencies
- Coordinate, as required, with infrastructure protection stakeholders to design training seminars and training exercises that align with unit-specific training objectives
- Support development of team roles, responsibilities and procedures to guide scenario development, exercise design, capture of training outcomes, and the conduct of After Action Reviews
- Support the development of After Action Reviews following every training event to bring out learning points and help build unit cohesion
- Identify and document lessons learned throughout the plan, prepare, execute, and assess training process
- Establish and maintain relationships with UAE National Guard Infrastructure Protection stakeholders and other agencies.
- Exhibit culturally appropriate interpersonal and negotiation skills

**Required Qualifications**
- Retired Colonel with infrastructure protection and security operations and training experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with mínimal oversight in a variety of roles
- Demonstrated management and planning skills
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge training with Coalition partners
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Skills (emphasis in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint)
- Previous work experience in the Middle East is preferred
- Possess active US Secret or higher security clearance
- Possess a valid US Passport (with more than 6 months to expiration)
- Master’s Degree in Critical Infrastructure Systems or equivalent engineering discipline
- War College Graduate or MEL 1 equivalent
- 15+ years’ experience managing infrastructure operations and training at the tactical and operational levels
- Served as a trainer at a CTC or the Mission Command Training Program
- Work history in the Middle East desired

**Education and/or Experience**:

- Master’s Degree in Critical Infrastructure Systems or equivalent engineering discipline
- War College Graduate or MEL 1 equivalent
- 15+ years’ experience managing infrastructure operations and training at the tactical and operational levels
- Served as a trainer at a CTC or the Mission Command Training Program
- Work history in the Middle East desired
