I am looking for a Chief Technical Officer to join my client who are a Data Centre Owner Operator in the Middle East. The Chief Technical Officer will be part of the Executive Leadership Team reporting to the CEO and have responsibility for the Design & Build, Planning, PMO & Operations teams.

The Chief Technical Officer should come from a design & build background from either a contractor, consultancy or client.

**Chief Technical Officer Job Objectives**:

- As a member of the Executive Leadership Team will play a key role in establishing the technology vision and lead the Company’s technological innovation and development
- The role is to set strategy and make executive technology decision.
- Manage technology budgets and making necessary investments to align the organisations vision for its growth.
- Need to be a visionary with technological and operational requirements in a data centre from a long term perspective and with fast changing technological environment
- Lead system and quality assurance processes to ensure the protection of Utilities’ assets while maintaining and evolving technology needs

**Key Accountabilities**
- Providing technical leadership at the enterprise level and serve an integral role in operations and infrastructure planning.
- Conducting research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable regarding industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new processes and system alterations, as well as to analyse and improve upon technology standards across the organization to maintain a technological advantage.
- Work closely with the Planning and Operations team to provide a data centre that can provide efficient space and capacity to achieve optimal density, best cooling infrastructure, scalability / flexibility to clients to host their data and high level of multi-layered security.
- Should ensure that we have excellent documentation of methods and procedures with activity monitoring and controls to assure the clients that policies are followed in managing the data centers.
- Leading the team in identifying, comparing, selecting, and implementing technology solutions and partnerships to meet current and future needs
- Advocating and communicating technology capabilities internally and externally, including leadership, customers, partners and vendors
- Making technology-related recommendations supported by data for policy adoption that includes analysis of current regulatory actions, technological innovations, and fiduciary considerations
- Lead the Operation management to ensure the Operation’s technology strategy is aligned with the organization’s strategic plan and is reflected in their business plans as well as management oversight of all projects.
- Develop a global innovation strategy that leverages external technical partnerships. Identify, negotiate and develop strategic technical partnerships to support business priorities and objectives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a short and long term strategic technology, product, and data roadmap in support of company business goals and objectives
- Structuring technology policies, procedures, and standards to ensure organizational success.
- Oversee the enterprise-wide, information security plan that protects the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the company’s data and servers
