**OVERVIEW OF POSITION**

As Head of Retail, you will play a critical position in the company, responsible for the success of all our brick & mortar stores within the region, which includes meeting revenue targets for shop sales and services, as well as managing all the operations teams.

You are primarily responsible for setting goals and objectives, defining promotions to increase sales, implementing displays across stores, managing budgets, coordinating managers, and making decisions in adherence to the company's needs. Also, you will be working on the implementation of our store standards in new locations to be opened soon.

You must also monitor the progress of sales, implementing solutions in problem areas and capturing opportunities seen. Furthermore, as a head, it is essential to lead and encourage the employees to reach goals, while implementing the company's policies and regulations, maintaining standards including all Health & Safety practices and procedures.

**ROLES & RESPOSIBILITIES**
- **Achieve revenue targets**: Develop strategy and implement actions to achieve the revenue targets for the stores and services, managing all resources and initiatives to achieve that including the development of marketing programs and promotions to increase sales and initiatives to improve AOV (average order value) through staff training and upsell.
- ** Leadership**: Guide the staff team and direct reports in the back office, providing continuous feedback and insights for their development in the company. Create a routine with the team to review performance and influence peoples motivation to grow and achieve targets.
- ** Stores operations**: Manage in-and-out the operations of our stores, developing/hiring the team and working with store managers to improve and review peoples performance, overseeing all operations related to sales, people, stocks in-store and services. Operations includes:

- Manage & monitor monthly/weekly staff schedules to ensure all functions in the division are covered in line with the Branch Store Manager.
- Work on staff performance issues and disciplinaries in co-ordination with the HR Department and Store Managers.
- Stock movement/rotation: Identify slow & fast-moving items in each branch, to continuously review the parameters for stock for each store.
- Merchandising: Suggest changes in the layout and planogram.
- Provide guidelines/support/advices to the store managers, when required regarding operations, staff issues, etc.
- Guide/support the store managers to resolve retail customer complaints.
- Prepare & submit department reports as required by the management.
- Get new stores ready after receiving it from Expansion team, responsible for team hiring, training, defining layout and merchandising of products in the store.
- Point of contact for the Management regarding anything related to Retail Division
- ** Market Review**: Maintains knowledge of the market, identifying and sharing key competitors initiatives, benchmarks from other industries and best practices in strategies or initiatives to impact sales that could be implemented.
- ** Promotions & Displays**: Design the campaigns and promotions in alignment with Business Development and Marketing departments and manage the implementation of all elements in the stores through the Visual Merchandising team, as well as specific designs for new brands or products on focus. Also, review the rationale for layout of the stores and planogram.
- ** Training**:Develop a training program and calendar for 2024 through the Retail Training team, assessing the core areas that need to be captured (soft skills included) according to expectation of impact in the business.
- ** Reporting**: Review and analyze sales and operations in details, understanding positive performances and opportunities for improvement across stores & services; analysis of traffic and conversion, category performance, customer attraction & retention, and more.

**SKILLS & QUALIFICATION**
- Previous experience in a management role within the retail industry; experience in grocery/supermarket segment is a plus.
- Team leadership and project management skills.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing, Finance or related field.
- Strong creative and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Analytical capability, including MS Excel proficiency.
