We are a looking for a Junior Buyer to join our Operations team. The buying role is focused on sourcing and buying children’s lifestyle products including Toys.

Key Responsibilities:
**Product sourcing and development**
- Maximize sales by sourcing the right product at the right time at the right price.
- Review samples within 3 days of receipt.
- Research trends globally for the categories of interest identified by the business.
- Provide inputs for new product design and development in conjunction with the MD, GM and Sales Manager.
- Conduct competitor analysis and market review on periodic basis to understand the trends.
- Maintain all marketing assets for the final chosen ranges.
- Training sales team on purchases and product details
- Maintain a master buying tracker.
- Ensuring products meet all compliance requirements before placing the final order.
- Responsible for costing negotiation with suppliers in order to ensure margin targets are met.

**Forecasts and Budgets**
- Formulate a yearly buy plan, split into monthly and quarterly plans, ensuring it’s in line with the budgeted inflow, in liason with the sales manager.
- Ensure a quarterly review analysis.
- Participate in the review of the Sales Projections along with the Sales Manager, GM & Finance Team.

**Pricing**
- Maximize the margin on the product by pricing the product as per the business guidelines and monitoring price revisions.
- Fix the Retail Selling Price in line with the Business Overall Margin Target and the specific target for each region

**Inventory management Stock Monitoring and Stock Allocations**
- Allocations of the right stock by customer and region and to ensure allocation of right quantity to the customers.
- To monitor inventory levels on regular basis and to take proactive action for any range and product. Suggest Markdowns and promotions where required and in conjunction with customer promotions calendar.
- Understanding the sales pattern of each customer /region and influencing the increase of sales for customer/ region.
- Review the performance of a products and brands quarterly and monitor stock levels monthly.
- Monitor the reorders based on the sales and revise / optimize allocation accordingly.
- Review and analyze stock / sales reports on a weekly basis and understand the top sellers of the business across the business and by customers.
- Ensuring sufficient stock holdings for each product.
- Review all GRNs after 45 days and take a decision of reorder / review date.

**Merchandising Standards**
- To constantly monitor the stores and to ensure that the planogram given is implemented strictly.
- To periodically visit the market and survey competitors for new / better ideas for merchandising and to bring about improvement in the merchandising standards.
- Work closely with merchandiser

**Supplier relationship**
- To maintain and develop the relationship with suppliers and to communicate in a very professional and prompt manner.
- To assist the suppliers with all necessary assistance in ensuring timely delivery of goods -orders, shipment terms / LC terms / marking requirements, etc.
- Communication with suppliers -requirements, pricing, packaging and compliance
