A Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the sale of a business's products or services in a specified region or geographical area and reports to the Head of Sales. The regional sales manager ensures profitable growth in sales, and revenue through planning, execution, and management of a supportive team.
**Your specific responsibilities and duties will include**:
- Create team sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives.
- Manage significant opportunity pipeline to guarantee success and regional growth.
- Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth
- Counsel, train, and guide direct reports to drive organization plans for achieving sales goals, Identify hiring needs, and select and train new salespeople.
- Hire, train, set goals and monitor the performance of direct reports and report on team sales results.
- Execute business development activity to strategically grow the new customer base through prospecting and cold calling. Leverage a repeatable sales process to drive to closure.
- Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction.
- Keep accurate and complete information on the Salesforce CRM system including prospecting activity, closing, sales pipeline and forecasting, close ratios and market intelligence.
- Research and utilize industry tools (LinkedIn and other business social media apps, Amplemarket, ZoomInfo or other online databases and websites) to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Pre-Sales, Product, Engineering) regarding existing and new clients to identify and resolve client concerns. Establish and maintain current and potential client relationships.
- The role requires business trips to participate in client meetings, marketing events, trade shows and company events.
- Responsible for the team’s Sales KPIs (exceed: sales targets, sales activity, and keep sales pipeline in the CRM updated and organized).
**Requirements**:
- Proven work experience as a Regional Sales Manager, Area Manager, or Senior Sales Role.
- Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs).
- Familiarity with CRM software, preferably Salesforce Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and comfort with math.
- Strong negotiation skillsAbility to motivate staff and lead a team.
- The right level of entrepreneurship, creativity, and commitment.
- Maritime domain experience is a plus.
- Availability to travel as needed.
- Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
