Jobs& Responsibilities
- Teach and promote learning in a range of courses in your area of specialization, including Financial Management, using modern teaching and learning methods.
- Orientation of students (as necessary by program/course/service requirements), with a focus on financial management principles.
- Prepare students for all types of assessments, including examinations, projects, assignments, and reports, incorporating financial management concepts where applicable.
- Evaluate the progress of each student and notify students in need of counselling services and/or tutorial assistance, especially in areas related to financial management.
- Develop course curriculum, course handouts, lectures, and presentations with an emphasis on financial management practices.
- Engage in designated professional development activities of the Centre, with a particular focus on financial management trends and strategies.
- Facilitate student learning, provide effective instruction, and perform evaluations of student learning for all assigned classes, using each course's standard course outline as a guide.
- Participate in program-level learning assessment, specifically addressing financial management learning outcomes.
- Assign grades and maintain course/student records in accordance with various Awarding Bodies, regulations, and submit grades and records by established deadlines, ensuring accuracy in financial management assessments.
- Actively participate in departmental meetings and activities, supporting the general development of students and the Centre, with a focus on instructional assignments related to financial management.
- Development of instruments to evaluate student learning; marking such instruments; generally assessing student progress, with an emphasis on financial management knowledge.
- Evaluation of student portfolios/assessments and other materials to conduct Prior Learning Assessments of students, including assessing financial management competencies.
- Development of teaching and learning materials whenever required, integrating financial management case studies and examples.
- Referring students to Student Admissions & Relationship Managers and others within the Centre to address specific student learning or personal issues, including financial management concerns.
- Preparation of a portfolio/assessment for use in the formative review process, showcasing achievements in financial management education.
- Coordinate between students, faculty, administration, and management for the smooth running of the course, with a special emphasis on financial management coordination.
- Perform other academically and marketing-related duties as assigned by the Centre Manager, addressing financial management aspects when applicable.
