IMPORT SALES MANAGER
**THE ROLE**:
Responsible to the effective implementation of sales for the Liner services under his/ her control with the objective to achieve predetermined targets and budgets for CMA CGM. Undertake a proactive role in the development of sales strategies in conjunction with the Commercial Manager. Staff is made thorough about the sales process and that is managed on a daily basis.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Lead the Import /X trade /Reefer import teams for DUBAI agency
To achieve sales budgets for the trade handled for the Dubai agency
To monitor import market shares for CMA CGM and take collective sales actions to improvize market shares and volumes MOM.
Develop minimum 10% FOB share for all trades, grow our market share in each emirates and develop a strong FOB VIP Customer profile for imports.
Monitor KPI’S related to Sales teams under him/her and acheive the same as per company objectives.
To establish contact with clients and maintain concise and current customer profile/MIF in order to facilitate accurate and speedy response to market activities.
Monitor performances of the Sales teams in to Increase the number of clients using CMA CGM services, projecting CMA CGM as a preferred shipping line in the market place.
Monitor budget target figures and lifting’s on all vessels under the trade manager and incorporate these with market activities and reports as required.
Motivate and guide the sales team to Identify wherever possible higher revenue shippers for CMA CGM.
Supervise regular update targets and customer profile data in CRM to accurate reflect the current situation for all customers in client portfolio.
Monitor and report on all competitor activities for CMA CGM Services.
Ensure information to principals, overseas agents and Management, concerning client needs are communicated promptly (e.g., additional service requirements, freight rate actions, etc.) in conjunction with the Sales officers.
To monitor and ensure replies to requests (sales leads, enquiries, and requests for action) are actioned within 24 hours of receipt of the request.
Attend sales meetings as required.
Evaluate and objectively monitor the performance of the staff against the predetermined performance standards.
Identify departmental resource requirements.
Ensure that all staff are adequately trained and efficiently equipped to enable them to carry out their duties as described in their respective position descriptions.
Daily monitoring of vessel performances and filling factors.
Monitor sales targets and encourage team to achieve their respective targets at the highest revenue
Assist to increase carrier haulage sales for the logistics department
Assist to acheive budgets set for Ceva X sell and CMA CGM VAS related products.
Make sure team complies with the company policy and compliance on OFEC related countries.
Supervise regular update targets and customer profile data in CRM to accurate reflect the current situation for all customers in client portfolio.
Continuously identify team resources requirements and ensure staff is adequately trained/guided enabling them to carry out their duties and responsibilities.
Assist the finance team in recovering overdues from customer
**QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFILE**:
Ability to interact with senior stakeholders and build good engagement levels
Graduate ,Any bachelor degree or Equivalent University Degree,with atleast 10 years of Industry experience in similar capacity and should have knowledge of the end to end process of Shipping sales.
A self-starter, who can work with complex business solutions and work through ambiguity.
Should be able to be in the constant hunt for new business and ensure their movement through the sales cycle.
You should have excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (both written and oral).
