Overview

The Quality Auditor effectively manages and implements GAL’s internal audit program and certification to AS9110.

Will also be responsible for

1.Assists in the development of scope, plan, and execution of internal quality audits to ensure the conformity to GAL policies and procedures, quality standards such as AS9110 and all relevant customer, statutory and regulatory requirements.

2.Generates reports based on findings of the audits, providing an objective assessment and analysis of the compliance and effectiveness of the process and/or area audited.

3.Coordinates with managers and supervisors during audit out-brief of nonconformities to ensure that root cause of the issues are accurately identified and effectively address the problems identified and prevent re-occurrence.

4.Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the QEHS department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.

5.Assist in the planning and oversight of external audits executed by external audit agencies; coordinates the audit process to ensure all operations and business processes are assessed according to the procedures and all required documents, records and information are provided in order to achieve full compliance with the audit scope and regulatory and certification standards.

6.Provides advice and guidance in the root cause analysis during the resolution of Corrective Action Reports (CAR) to ensure corrective action is effective.

7.Monitors processes or operations that have not met the required standards and ensures appropriate actions are taken to re-establish full compliance.

8.Provides regular scheduled updates to designated database to ensure current validation and verification of CARs.

9.Assists in delivering training and promote awareness on quality standards, policies and procedures to different departments and functions as directed.

10.Implements approved departmental policies, processes and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled, compliant, and consistent manner.

11.Ensures, active promotion and supports adherence to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls, emphasizing employee safety, legislative compliance and to promote a responsible environmental attitude.

12.Contributes to the identification of opportunities for improvement and take part in change initiatives, programs and projects that reflect international best practice and changes in the competitive environment.

13.Prepares statements and reports timely and accurately to meet GAL and departmental requirements, policies and standards.

14.Generates automated reports from the QMS to assess data and develop analysis reports to study trends in QEHS audits to identify causes of issues and challenges.

15.Performs other related duties or assignments as directed.

Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace maintenance/ engineering/ quality management discipline or equivalent.

Experience

-Minimum 5 years of experience as an Auditor and/or Quality Assurance in an aerospace maintenance and aircraft operating environment, preferably in military with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Trained auditor to ISO 9001 or AS9100 series international standards.
