Position: HEAD CHEF
Location: Como Lounge - Al Ayn, Abu Dhabi

**Job Summary**:
As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Menu Development**: Create, update, and refine a diverse and innovative menu that caters to a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements, using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients when possible.
- **Kitchen Management**: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring all dishes meet our quality standards.
- **Staff Supervision**: Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Schedule shifts, manage performance, and ensure staff adherence to policies and procedures.
- **Inventory and Cost Control**: Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs to meet budgetary requirements. Implement efficient waste management practices to minimize waste.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Conduct regular inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
- **Quality Control**: Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation. Conduct regular taste tests and adjust recipes as necessary to ensure consistency.
- **Customer Satisfaction**: Work closely with the front-of-house staff to address customer feedback and ensure a seamless dining experience. Occasionally interact with customers to gather feedback and enhance their experience.
- **Innovation and Trends**: Stay current with culinary trends and continuously innovate to keep the menu fresh and exciting. Experiment with new dishes and techniques to enhance the cafe's offerings.
- **Event Catering**: Plan and execute catering for special events, including private parties, corporate functions, and other events hosted at the cafe.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef, preferably in a cafe or casual dining setting.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and trends.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Creativity and passion for food.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:
1. **Professional (ATTESTED) Diploma in Culinary Arts**
2. HACCP Certification (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)
3. Certified Professional Chef (CPC)
4. Certified Chef de Cuisine (CCC)
