As a Chinese-Speaking Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing compassionate and culturally sensitive healthcare to Chinese-speaking patients. Your ability to communicate fluently in Chinese and English will facilitate effective patient care and ensure that patients feel understood and supported during their medical journey.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Patient Care and Assessment**:

- Provide direct patient care, including conducting assessments, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications.
- Communicate with Chinese-speaking patients to assess their medical history, symptoms, and concerns accurately.
- **Interpretation and Communication**:

- Act as a language interpreter between healthcare providers and Chinese-speaking patients to ensure clear and accurate communication.
- Translate medical instructions, treatment plans, and educational materials into Chinese for patient understanding.
- **Cultural Sensitivity**:

- Demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity when interacting with Chinese-speaking patients and their families.
- Respect cultural beliefs and practices to deliver patient-centered care.
- **Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist doctors and other healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures.
- **Patient Education**:

- Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, and preventive measures in Chinese.
- Ensure patients comprehend discharge instructions and follow-up care plans.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, care plans, and interventions.
- Adhere to legal and ethical standards in health record documentation.
- **Quality Improvement**:

- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and healthcare delivery for Chinese-speaking patients.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving cultural competence within the healthcare setting.
- **Emergency Response**:

- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, following established protocols and procedures.

**Experience**:

- nursing: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Eligibility letter or DHA (preferred)
