Core Responsibilities:
To provide and monitor direct and indirect patient care to achieve optimum patient outcomes.

Assume accountability and responsibility for your practice and do not carry out tasks beyond your level of competence.

Incorporate the religious and cultural needs of patients in their individualized care and include input from family members.

Coordinate individualized care from the point of first contact throughout the episode of care, incorporating discharge planning.

Maintain timely and accurate nursing records and ensure that confidentiality is respected.

Maintain personal contact with patients and relatives being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity, and privacy and always ensuring a friendly environment.

Independently evaluate, plan, and implement individualized care plans for patients and assist junior staff with this process.

Document all assessments, interventions, and other pertinent information in the patient’s health care record in a timely and ongoing manner.

Maintain an effective audit trail being aware of the role of audit and research, and work towards continual improvement in quality assurance programs.

Demonstrate service excellence and act as a patient advocate to always support the patients’ rights and dignity.

Ensure all equipment and resources are maintained and used, economically and efficiently.

Promptly reports to the Head Nurse/ Clinic Manager and assists in investigating complaints and incidents and patient care per Hospital Policy.

Coordinate referrals and utilize available resources for the provision of comprehensive care to patients and families.

Perform antenatal training for the expecting mother and family.

Promote and utilize evidence-based practice in the provision of care.

Facilitate a climate of mutual understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural differences inherent in a multicultural society.

Administer medications according to the organization's policies and procedures.

Understand actions of medication and contraindications, evaluate patient’s response, identify side effects, and initiate appropriate action.

Report adverse drug reactions and medication errors as per DHA regulations.

Ensure the storage and administration of narcotic and controlled drugs as per DHA Narcotic policies and procedures as per the area requirements.

Maintain a sound knowledge base in medication and administration of medications.

Respond to all levels of emergencies according to the organization's policies and procedures.

Provide data for staffing decisions and demonstrate flexibility in the resolution of staffing issues; demonstrate flexibility when floating to other units upon requests.

Provide guidance and advice to the patient care team on clinical and administrative matters.

Perform accurate and complete admission assessments.

Create individualized care plans for a patient under their supervision and care.

Collaborate with the internal team to share expertise and knowledge.

Give supportive resources to the patient and the families to promote a positive outlook.

Teach patients and their families regarding treatment expectations.

Watch and record the patient’s progress constantly.

Extend service within their scope of practice and competency whenever floated to another department.

Chart the patient’s response to treatment and medication.

Ensure to comply with the DHA & Internal organizational standards and responsibilities.

Always maintain and ensure Patient Health Information confidentiality about IT/ Other aspects.

Not to release any information/data/ records to anyone without the knowledge and approval of the concerned Supervisor/ HOD’s.

Responsible for maintaining confidentiality in all matters.

Participates in nursing research activities as requested.

Perform other related duties as necessary

**Requirements**:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing/Diploma in Nursing.

Current license in the country of origin and with DHA license to practice in Dubai, UAE.

Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferably having worked in the paediatric/gynaecology/GP departments.

Ideal to have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.

Ideally multi-linguistic - Tagalog/Arabic/Mandarin/Chinese/French/Hindi in addition to good communication skills in English.

Ability and experience working in a multi-cultural environment valuing cultural sentiments.

Great organizational skills.

Ability to review procedures and implement new models of service delivery to satisfy client and organizational requirements

**Salary**: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
