- To monitor that silver-, china-, glassware and utensils from food and beverage outlets are cleaned in a hygienic, economic and efficient way.
- To maintain a good rapport with support departments to ensure timely assistance and constant co-operation with other departments.
- To act upon any shortfall of operating equipment in F&B outlets by requisitioning requirements from the store or recommend the purchase of additional/new stocks to the Director of Food & Beverage.
- To monitor if all assigned jobs in the stewarding department are completed and review the communication logbook on a regular basis and communicate any irregularities to the Director of Food & Beverage.
- To maintain a good relationship with local authorities and represent the hotel during periodic inspections
- To control and approve all operating equipment requests from all food and beverage operating areas and review the operating equipment par stocks with the outlet-in-charge on an annual basis
- To control and pre-approve all attendance records and overtime authorization of the stewarding department.
- To schedule and conduct bi-annual equipment inventories and recommend required adjustments in the stock levels.
- Responsible for scheduling, assigning duties and conducting communication meetings for all stewarding associates.
- To evaluate, coach, direct and monitor associates’ performance at all times and to conduct a formal annual (and probationary) performance appraisal of stewarding associates in accordance with hotel policies and procedures, based on the standard Job Descriptions.
- To identify training needs and associate’s potential to communicate the same to the Deputy General Manager and Training Manager and assist in developing the identified potential. To review / update job descriptions in liaison with the Director of Food and Beverage and Training Manager on an annual basis.
- To monitor the usage of cleaning supplies and make suggestion on possible improvements.
- To control and monitor the breakage of operating equipment in food and beverage operating areas and report with suggestions to avoid breakage in the future.
- To maintain a record of any issuance of operating equipment to the food and beverage operation.
- To supervise and record the issuance and return of operating equipment to/from outdoor catering functions.

Pay: AED3,000.00 per month
