**1-Marine Sr. Pilot Obligations**
- Acting with loyalty, honesty and good faith tothe Authority
- including, but not limited to:

- The duty to exercise reasonable care anddiligence.
- The duty not to make improper use of information;
- The duty not to make improper use of theirposition.
- Act appropriately as a Marine Sr. Pilot,including but not limited to using Authority resources efficiently andeffectively:

- Treating colleagues with courtesy, considerationand sensitivity;
- Treat other port users and members of the publicwith courtesy and in a professional manner;
- Being customer focused;
- Comply with any AD Ports policies and proceduresas amended from time to time.
- Any work as reasonably directed by the Linemanager as required provided it is safe to do so and is within the level of theMarine Sr. Pilot's skill, competence and training undertaken;
- Obtaining permission though the system from the Linemanager before undertaking paid employment outside of that provided by the ADPorts. Refusals to grant permission will generally be for reasons of 'conflictof interest' or Occupational Safety and Health considerations.

**2-Pilotage, Navigation and Berthing**
- Provision of efficient and competent pilotageservices in accordance with the Port shipping requirements.
- Assist with the coordination of all arrangementsfor vessels arriving, anchoring, berthing, unberthing, shifting ship and departing.
- Completion of relevant pilotage documentationand accurate provision of information for charging.
- Liaise with pilot boat crew, tug boats, linesmen,and lines boat and coordinate towage requirements.

Maintain Maximum utilization of marine Pilotsconsidering fatigue and other elements might harm the port safety.
Key Tasks and Performance Indicators

**3-Port Operations & Vessel Management**
- Ensure all Port berthing and navigational arecompliant in line with relevant marine regulations.
- Provision of advice and expertise in marinerelated matters including: planning, construction and maintenance of navigationalaids and marine structures.
- As required, assist with monitoring hydrographicsurveys of the Port.
- Operate port control radio station as licensedoperator.

**4-Internal Communication & Relationships**
- Positive contributions at meetings to assistwith Port trade development and expansion planning.
- Liaise with Port personnel.
- Maintain positive relations with the senior Portmanagement personnel.
- Interface with relevant Port personnel duringpilotage movements.
- Advise and assist Port Management withoperational, technical and environmental matters.
- Assist line manager on leaves and duty rosteractivities.

**5. External Communications & Relationships**
- Assist with the promotion of the Port and itsservices.
- As required, attend and represent the Port atmeetings and conferences.
- Liaise with ship’s agents and Port Usersregarding arrival and departure arrangements and tides, drafts, weather, seastate and channel limitations of the port. As required and under theinstruction of Line manager.

**6. Health, Safety & Environment**
- Adheres to Safe working instruction and SOPs.
- Adheres to near miss and incident reporting.
- Assist to set the Department Risk assessment.

**7. Training & Development**
- Conduct in house training on marine relatedmatters as required.

**Challenges**:
**In accordance with the individual’s knowledgeand experience, provide assistance and advice for operational, technical andHSE/emergency response matters affecting the Port. Be available on call whilstin Abu Dhabi area, whether on duty or not, for any emergency involving the Port**
Qualifications/Experience/Competencies
- Masters Foreign Going certificate Class I (unlimited).
- Comprehensive knowledge of shipping, navigation and port operations.

Actively seeks to keep informed regardingmatters which may affect the day to day scheduling and methods of pilotage.
