**Overall Purpose of the role**

The Assistant Project Manager role is fulfilled when Mid-Career Architect with active exposure to Project Management can engage and handle basic project management tasks under supervision & has the potential to learn and grow in this field. The role takes on basic Project management responsibilities such as but not limited to team coordination, project communication, follow-up tasks, minuting & documentation tasks, project monitoring, project reporting, contractual review & participation in procurement, managing small projects independently, able to particpate across all Project Management verticals as and when required under guidance.

- Project Report Writing
- Authorities Interfacing
- Tender Management
- Procurement of Project Team / External sub-consultants
- Contract Drafting (Sub-Consultancy Agreement) based on existing templates
- Participation in Organizational Development Tasks

**1. PROJECT MANAGEMENT**

- Clearly and creatively presents project updates internally, supports in client presentations.

**2. TECHNICAL AND QA/QC**
- Project Budget Planning (under guidance)
- Project Cost & Resource Monitoring - maintaining accuracy of project plans (under guidance)
- Sub-Consultant Procurement
- Ability to proofread; review & draft contracts
- Good Knowledge of local Authority Regulations
- Interfacing and liaising with authorities stakeholders
- Sub-consultant coordination, tracking progress
- Meeting Minutes & Activity Tracking
- Meeting Setups (internally and externally)
- Uses the company file naming and information filing standards and follow quality standards in overall work.
- Understanding of AIA/RIBA stages and deliverables
- Good English writing skills and strong knowledge of English grammar
- Good knowledge of Adobe InDesign presentation skills
- Good knowledge of MS Excel
- Flair in graphics formatting
- Strong skills in Information diagram / data diagrams / info graphics

**Education and Training**
- Degree educated - bachelor’s degree in architecture - Masters desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Software skills - MS Project; Knowledge of MS Office & Adobe InDesign is mandatory
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Member of UAE Society Engineers & AIA (preferred) and PMI (highly regarded). Registration with home country professional body highly regarded.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in an office environment working under Lead Architect of Project Manager
- Early or basic management experience
- **Project stages - **experience in multiple design stages under team leader / supervisor
- **Industry Experience - **in innovative practices locally or internationally or reputable local practices
- **Years worked following graduation -** minimum 5-6 years after bachelor’s OR 1-2 year for Master’s degree holders
