What you will be doing as a head sommelier:

- Assist guests with their choice of wine and to take the appropriate orders;
- Educate yourself in company standards, culture;
- Make recommendations in a positive and friendly manner, by promoting and up selling wines;
- Decanting wine;
- Staying attentive to the needs of guests in the dining area;
- Provide excellent wine service;
- Closely work with floor team;
- Ensure wine and champagne are up to date with correct vintages and prices, all products are stored properly in the cellar and on the display;
- Assist with monitoring and managing all glassware to ensure that all stock is maintained in an appropriate condition;
- Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them;
- Build excellent wine list;
- Develop and maintain all wine-related staff training programs.

As a head sommelier, you can expect:
