**Position Title: General Manager**

**Employment Type: Full-time**

**Salary: Competitive salary + bonus + company benefits**

**Location: Dubai, UAE**

The position is in a leading manufacturer of quality uniforms in UAE, known for quality products made from premium materials and innovative designs. Customers range from many leading nurseries, schools, and corporates. Seeking to hire a General Manager/ Director Operations to manage existing operations and support future growth and deliver on strategic initiatives.

**Role and Responsibilities**

Main responsibility is to ensure overall seamless operations and project delivery with a focus on client satisfaction & employee engagement.
- Coordinate with business development team for present order status, future orders, customer management and marketing
- Actively engage with key customers to ensure upselling and cross-selling
- Work out product costing and pricing to ensure healthy margins
- Manage supplier relations and guide procurement team with sourcing and negotiations
- Monitor manufacturing and production departments to ensure effective and efficient operations with timely delivery
- Review Production planning, Material planning, inventory, team capacity planning and machinery planning for delivering existing orders
- Production planning, materials planning, supply chain mapping and machinery planning to upcoming large projects
- Implement quality control mechanisms
- Monitor and guide HR practices including recruitment, performance evaluation, employee welfare
- Monitor and guide finance team on invoices, receivables, payments and other financial processes
- Monitor and guide admin team on key business aspects like license renewal, facility lease, visa and other aspects
- Monitor and guide in-store team
- Implement digitization of manual processes to enhance efficiency
- Implement policies, procedures, and processes to ensure smooth operations in every department
- Conduct weekly review meetings to ensure alignment between teams and resolve inter department issues
- Create management reports for board reporting

**Number of direct reports**: 5 (40-50 overall oversight)

**Departments under direct supervision**:

- Customer management
- Finance Admin & HR
- Procurement
- Production & Inventory
- IT, stores and other support teams

**Requirements**:

- At least 10 years’ experience in production, business operations, supply chain in a similar industry
- Keen strategic thinking, planning and execution excellence
- Understanding of shop floor operations, têxtile-related supply chain
- Excellent leadership skills, including goal setting, motivating, training and mentorship
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong orientation towards process and operational excellence
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Well-disciplined and productivity-focused
- Ability to present confidently at external meetings, client presentations
- Understanding of budget management and financial monitoring
- Good organization and time management
- Ability to create operational and business reports
