**Position Title**: Head of Pastry and Bakery
**Department**: Pastry and Bakery Operations
**Reporting To**: Executive Chef / General Manager
**Location**: Abu Dhabi

**Job Summary**:
The Head of Pastry and Bakery is responsible for overseeing the entire pastry and bakery operations, including menu development, production, and team management. The role ensures high-quality standards, creativity, and efficiency in delivering exceptional baked goods, pastries, and desserts, while adhering to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Production Management**:

- Oversee daily production of pastries, desserts, and bakery items.
- Develop and test new recipes, ensuring product innovation and creativity.
- Maintain consistency and quality standards for all products.
- **Menu Development**:

- Design and update the pastry and bakery menu according to seasonal trends and customer preferences.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and management to create signature offerings.
- **Inventory and Cost Control**:

- Manage inventory levels and procurement of raw materials and ingredients.
- Monitor costs and ensure profitability without compromising quality.
- Reduce waste and optimize production efficiency.
- **Team Leadership and Training**:

- Lead, train, and supervise pastry chefs, bakers, and assistants.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- **Compliance and Standards**:

- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Implement HACCP principles and monitor adherence to quality assurance policies.
- **Customer Focus**:

- Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining consistent quality and presentation.
- Address customer feedback and resolve issues promptly.
- **Operational Efficiency**:

- Develop production schedules and workflows to meet deadlines.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and tools.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience as Head Pastry Chef, Bakery Manager, or similar role.
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, Pastry, or Baking.
- Expertise in pastry techniques, baking, and dessert preparation.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Creativity and passion for culinary arts.
- Knowledge of costing, inventory management, and budgeting.
- Proficiency in food safety and hygiene regulations (e.g., HACCP certification).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

**Experience Requirements**:

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in pastry and bakery operations.
- Previous experience in fine dining, catering, or high-end bakery setups preferred.

**Working Conditions**:

- Fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
