**Job duties and responsibilities**
- Advise and be able to instruct on various safety related topics (use of machinery, noise levels etc.)
- Capable of reviewing existing policies and measures and updating according to the country’s regulations.
- Support the development and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policies and programs.
- Initiate and organize OHS training programs for employees to remain consistent.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to share best practice techniques and promote safety initiatives.
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment, not following safety standards etc.)
- Compile safety programs and practice safe working techniques within the company.
- Oversee installations, maintenance, and disposal of hazardous materials in a proper manner.
- Capable of keeping record of and investigating incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
- Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management.
- Regularly inspect equipment and machinery and maintain compliance with all safety regulations.

**Job qualifications/requirements**
- 2 - 2 ½ years of experience working as a safety officer in any GCC country.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
- Experienced in writing reports and policies for health and safety and knowledgeable in hazardous materials and practices.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
