**Overall Purpose**:
In the accounting assistant role, you are responsible for performing specific routine accounting operations, such as maintaining the books for firms, cash collection, debt collection, sharing payment plans to parents/students, verification of payments and completing other delegated tasks.

A key element in performing the role is the ability to finish assigned tasks promptly and accurately. Success in this role is demonstrated by effectively supporting accountants in fulfilling the accounting operations.

**Principal Duties**:

- Maintaining financial records
- Preparing reports
- Raising invoices and credit notes
- Receive and process invoices and billing statements
- Verify payments and deposits made through the company account and coordinate with the bank.
- Filling out purchase orders
- Debt chasing
- Managing petty cash
- Filing
- Oversight of sales ledger (student fees/transport fees, credit control, and accounting entries).
- Daily maintenance of the receipts cash book
- termly process students billing process
- monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and appropriate follow up
- monthly scanning of documentation
- Willingly participate in the wider-administrative team, in the day to day running of the University

**Education / Qualifications/ Experience / Skills**
- **Essential**:_
- Degree in Commerce or equivalent
- Min 2 years of Experience in college/school admissions preferred
- **Desirable**:_
- Any relevant Degree
- Experience in college/school admissions.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately
- Trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information.

**Flexibility**:
Please note that given the need for flexibility in order to meet the changing requirements of the University, the duties and location of this post and the role of the post-holder may be changed after consultation. The balance of duties may vary over time and will be reviewed as part of the appraisal process.

**Salary**: Up to AED3,000.00 per month
