This role represents the University of Leicester across the Middle East region, in the promotion of courses and recruitment of international students. You will conduct outreach, event and communications work on behalf of the University in order to build a pipeline of applicants for university courses.

The University of Leicester is a provider of higher education courses in the United Kingdom. The University have entered into a B2B agreement with Chestnut Education Group (CEG), under which CEG will employ an individual to act solely on behalf of the University in the recruitment and conversion of students from the target region. The post holder will be directly employed by Chestnut Education Group (CEG) and be based in the UAE office of CEG.

The primary purpose of this role is to work as a member of the Global Student Recruitment Team based in UAE, reporting directly to the International Student Recruitment Manager, and taking responsibility for:

- Recruitment: Developing recruitment channels for specific markets of a prescribed region and delivering against the recruitment targets for those markets. **(70%)**
- Implementing a coherent and effective approach to these markets that supports positive brand and business development.
- Autonomously representing the University of Leicester overseas (outside of UAE) on a regular basis (up to 8 weeks of travel a year).
- Effectively manage a network of channels to ensure that these markets are performing on target.
- Work closely and effectively with the wider FSO and ERD team, including Admissions, Global Business Operations, Marketing and Alumni Relations to ensure a coherent and sector leading approach.
- Contributing to the wider business through sharing of best practice with the wider marketing and recruitment community and supporting or driving business development opportunities.
- Researching and operationalizing an effective marketing and recruitment plan for each market to ensure all targets are met, and our brand is enhanced.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Responsible for achieving recruitment targets for the assigned markets, in line with institutional objectives.
- Extensive travel to include representing the University of Leicester at exhibitions, schools, colleges and higher education institutions as well as key partners and educational representatives in market.
- To plan successful, time and cost-effective recruitment trips ensuring key objectives and individual targets are met.
- To develop and maintain an agent network in each market to assist with international student recruitment.
- To identify and develop a network of partner schools and higher education institutions to assist with student recruitment.
- To develop recruitment plans for prescribed markets within a given region.
- To contribute to the development of the Regional Market Plan.
- To support the International Recruitment Manager in identifying new potential markets within the prescribed region and developing market plans as appropriate.
- Work with other colleagues within the Future Students Office to build effective relationships throughout the students’ journey from enquiry to enrolment.
- To develop an excellent understanding of the educational system in each market of responsibility and to work with the Regional Manager to ensure these are accurately reflected in the Universities admissions
- Work alongside DARO to support the development of effective alumni networks in the prescribed region.
- Where appropriate to support CEG in their promotion of selected distance-learning courses offered by the University, to include incidences where CEG refers students to campus-based courses to the post-holder as active leads.
- Such other duties as are within the scope of the spirit of the job purpose and the title of the post.

Market Recruitment and Development
- Production of research into new and existing markets to support the achievement of recruitment targets.
- Delivery of high quality market intelligence to deliver effective product development.
- Identification of market challenges and opportunities as they arise.
- Operationalization of the marketing and recruitment plan for the prescribed markets.
- Achieving the required target of enrolled students for each market within budget

**QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE**

Required:

- Good First Degree and excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience of working with and recruiting international students and developing overseas student recruitment channels would be an advantage
- Excellent language skills in at least one other language relevant to the markets of operation.
- Proven track record of successfully operating in the HE sector.
- Track record of success in sales environment.
- Strong understanding of the marketplace, and experience in international recruitment.
