Organizar y coordinar los procedimientos de ingresos y registros previos grupales. Vender una habitación o alojamiento a los huéspedes que no tengan reservaciones. Anticiparse a las situaciones en las que se agota la disponibilidad de habitaciones, identificar la cantidad de habitaciones que se asignaron de más y obtener alojamiento alternativo satisfactorio en caso de que el hotel no pueda alojar a los huéspedes con reservaciones. Bloquear las habitaciones en la computadora e identificar requisitos designados. Comprobar si se han duplicado las reservaciones. Preparar y comprobar los informes diarios y las listas de imprevistos. Brindar indicaciones e información a los huéspedes sobre la manera de llegar a destinos. Atender, registrar y procesar todas las llamadas, las solicitudes, las preguntas o las inquietudes de los huéspedes; hacer un seguimiento a fin de asegurar que se hayan solucionado satisfactoriamente. Solicitar un medio de transporte para los huéspedes o visitantes. Entregar las cajas de seguridad. Computar y asegurar la caja al comenzar y finalizar el turno. Cobrar los cheques de los huéspedes, procesar todos los medios de pago, comprobantes, desembolsos y gastos, además de proporcionar cambio. Asistir a la gerencia en la motivación y el entrenamiento de los empleados y servir como modelo o mentor departamental.

Cumplir con todas las políticas y los procedimientos de la compañía; informar al gerente los accidentes, las lesiones y las condiciones laborales inseguras; asegurarse de que el uniforme y la apariencia personal sean pulcros y profesionales; mantener la confidencialidad de la información patentada y proteger los bienes de la compañía. Recibir y reconocer a los huéspedes de acuerdo con los estándares de la compañía, anticiparse a sus necesidades de servicio y atenderlas, asistir a las personas con discapacidades y agradecer a los huéspedes con aprecio genuino. Hablar utilizando un lenguaje claro y profesional; preparar y revisar los documentos escritos de manera exacta y completa; atender los teléfonos utilizando el protocolo adecuado. Cultivar y mantener relaciones laborales positivas y apoyar al equipo para alcanzar los objetivos comunes. Asegurar el cumplimiento de las expectativas y los estándares de calidad; identificar y recomendar nuevas formas de aumentar la eficacia, productividad, calidad, seguridad y/o capacidad de ahorro de la organización. Estar de pie, tomar asiento o caminar durante un período prolongado de tiempo. Ingresar y localizar información mediante la utilización de computadoras o sistemas de punto de venta (Point of Sales, POS). Mover, levantar, transportar, empujar, arrastrar y ubicar sin ayuda objetos que pesen 10 libras o menos. Ejecutar otros deberes de trabajo razonables solicitados por supervisors.
