The InterContinental Hotels Group® properties in Dubai Festival City consist of four hotel brands. These include the luxury brand InterContinental, the superior upscale Crowne Plaza, the lavish long-stay InterContinental Residence Suites and the vibrant mid-scale Holiday Inn & Suites. In addition to over 1000+ bedrooms, the four properties boast a selection of high quality restaurants and bars, an impressive 3,800 square meter Event Centre across two levels, the 5,000 square meters Festival Arena by InterContinental, the luxurious Spa InterContinental, state-of-the-art gymnasium and swimming pool facilities. **A little taste of your day-to-day**
- Providing the team with information related to InterContinental Hotels Dubai Festival City (IHG DFC) properties in terms of internal or external projects - accessible for all (hotel) - team members.
- Networking with travel agencies to open up opportunities and maintain good sales relationships.
- Maintaining regular contact with counterparts at other IHG business units in the city and UAE by conducting (in) formal phone calls per month with different stakeholders in the respective IHG business units and to join Field Sales team for a (in) formal visit to these internal customers on a quarterly basis.
- Researching suspect accounts in the market platform and support the team with key accounts.
- Maintain high level of knowledge relating to the key competitors existing and new hotels to open in Dubai.
- Coordinate and/or assist in the development and implementation of sales and marketing projects and serve as a primary contact with internal services, external agencies and hotels for related projects.
- Seek for alternatives to improve the overall performance of the team and colleagues’ interaction within the Sales and Marketing departments.
- Working with sales software “Delphi”, “Opera” and “IBP” to be able to access customer information and create purpose built databases as well as reports/figures.
- Managing stock control of stationary, product information and promotion material for internal and external purposes to contribute actively to the effective running of the office.
- Utilizing internal office software to manage all purchase orders(LPO) concerning office equipment, sales and marketing tools, bookings, trainings, subscriptions, conferences, road shows, internet programs amongst others.
- Maintain a proper follow up for departmental approvals to support with office management and finance procedures.
- Prepares a variety of departmental reporting/presentation, gathering and summarizing information from various sources requested.
- Providing personal assistance upon all requirements and requests directed from DOSM to coordinate the planning and structure of daily events.
- Participate in sessions with DOSM to become familiar with his/her agenda, projects and key contacts.
- To coordinate and assist with the planning of appointments, entertainment and Fam trips by liaising with operational departments, making the required bookings (in the hotel and with third parties if requested), preparing running orders and being the One Point of Contact for internal and external customers.
- To support and conduct specific projects set by DOSM to contribute to the team’s performance and motivation.
- To ensure training needs of new sales team members are analyzed and vital set of knowledge and skills will be taught.
- To share intended daily / weekly activities, annual leave and lieu days with DOSM.
- To report for duty on time and on the days rostered.
