Senior Data Engineer- SAP HANA

Our client a global IT consulting firm is looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer to be based on one of their client sites in Dubai. The preferred candidate should Lead the design deployment and management of the SAP HANA FSDP platform to ensure optimal performance scalability and reliability.

Your responsibilities will include:

Develop and implement best practices for the architecture configuration and maintenance of the SAP HANA FSDP environment.

Ensure the platform is uptodate with the latest patches and upgrades.

Monitor platform performance and perform tuning to optimize efficiency and throughput.

Set up and manage multiple environments (development QA production). Implement environment cloning backups and disaster recovery processes.

Manage user accounts roles and permissions to ensure secure and appropriate access. Implement rolebased access control (RBAC) and maintain user access logs.

Ensure platform security by configuring and monitoring security settings.

Conduct regular security assessments and audits to detect and mitigate vulnerabilities.

Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.


Perform regular health checks of the Informatica platform and address any anomalies.

Utilize monitoring tools to track system performance and identify potential issues.

Implement and manage regular backup procedures to ensure data protection.

Provide daytoday support for Informatica environments addressing user queries and issues.

Optimize views database interactions and platform configurations for better performance.

Analyze system usage trends and plan for future capacity needs.

Implement scaling strategies to accommodate growing data volumes and user demands.

Conduct proactive maintenance activities to prevent potential issues.

Participate in crossfunctional meetings and provide technical insights.

Provide training and support to endusers and junior team members on platform usage and best practices.

Develop and maintain user guides FAQs and training materials.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of platform configurations procedures and operations.

Generate and present regular reports on system performance incidents and maintenance activities.







RequirementsTo be considered for this role you need possess the below criteria:

More than 6 years of experience in information technology with 4 years spent in SAP HANA Platform Engineering/Administration

Proficiency in Informatica installation configuration and administration.

Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python Shell) for automation.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. JIRA Confluence).

Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

SAP HANA administration certification is a plus

Candidates willing to relocate to Dubai and comfortable considering a contractual role are encouraged to apply for this position.

Immediate joiners will be preferred or candidate with a maximum of 30 days notice period
