Job Overview:

Here's your chance to step into the role of Senior Manager - Finance Operations at Dubai Holding Entertainment. In this position, you'll take on key responsibilities that include:

1. Finance Operations Oversight

  1. Lead and manage the day-to-day finance operations for the entire group, ensuring accurate accounting and financial reporting.
  2. Oversee all finance back-office functions managed by shared services (e.g., GL, AP, AR, Tax), ensuring seamless and efficient processes.

2. Financial Planning and Budgeting

  1. Work closely with business unit leaders and senior management to prepare annual budgets and forecasts that align with the company's financial goals.
  2. Oversee the financial planning process and ensure it is aligned with corporate strategies, financial targets, and operational goals.

3. Finance Business Partnering

  1. Provide guidance on financial performance, metrics, cost optimization, and profitability analysis.
  2. Assist in evaluating potential business opportunities, new investments, and initiatives, ensuring financial feasibility and alignment with the company's objectives.

4. Process Improvement & Automation

  1. Drive initiatives to optimize finance processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
  2. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements within the finance operations, leveraging technology and systems.

5. Risk Management & Compliance

  1. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
  2. Act as a key liaison with external auditors and tax authorities, ensuring accurate reporting and addressing any queries or issues.

6. Financial Reporting & Analysis

  1. Review financial reports, analyzing trends, forecasts, and budget adherence.
  2. Provide senior leadership with clear, concise reports on financial performance, identifying key insights, trends, and variances from the budget.

7. Leadership & Team Management

  1. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to support both finance operations and business partnering efforts.
  2. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture while promoting continuous learning and development within the department.

About you:

The preferred candidate for this role should possess the following experience and credentials:

Degree in Accounting/ Finance. Professional certification such as a CA or ACCA required.

10+ years of relevant experience within the Finance department of a large corporation. Big 4 firm experience will be preferred.

  1. Extensive knowledge of IFRS standards and their application. Strong experience in financial reporting under IFRS.
  2. Experience in VAT implementation/management.
  3. Strong systems exposure and ERP system knowledge/implementation (Oracle, Hyperion/FCCS preferred).
  4. Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  5. Media, Hospitality and/or leisure & entertainment experience preferred.
  6. Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  7. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial software.
