Business Development Manager – Marketing Technology
The Marketing Technology Business Development Manager (BDM) will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between analyzing marketing departments' pain points and offering technological solutions to drive marketing and overall business growth. This position requires a unique blend of marketing experience, technological expertise, and strategic sales capabilities.
This position involves identifying new business opportunities, generating revenue, meeting and exceeding sales targets, building and maintaining client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and Target Prospective Clients: Research and pinpoint potential clients who can benefit from the company's marketing technology services.
- Develop Strategic Sales Plans: Formulate and implement sales strategies to achieve business growth objectives.
- Drive Business Revenues: Deliver upon sales targets and ensure the business generates revenues.
- Client Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Present and Demonstrate Solutions: Effectively communicate and showcase marketing technology solutions to potential clients, addressing their specific challenges and goals.
- Negotiate Contracts: Lead negotiations to finalize agreements that align with both client requirements and company objectives.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with marketing, product development, and IT teams to ensure the delivery of solutions that meet client expectations.
- Monitor Industry Trends: Stay informed about the latest developments in marketing technology to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably within the marketing technology or digital marketing sectors.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of marketing technology platforms and digital marketing strategies.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with an aptitude for delivering compelling presentations.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to analyze market trends and client needs to develop effective business strategies.
- Negotiation Skills: Proven capability in negotiating contracts and closing deals successfully.
- Self-Motivation: A proactive and results-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
