Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Respect the policies and procedures implemented on the process of receiving.
  2. Support and encourage the objective of cost control and maintain traces for audit.
  3. Maintain records for municipality and local authority requirements.
  4. Update the purchasing manager and the Executive Chef on rejected deliveries, short supplies and non-supply of products for alternative actions.
  5. Ensure the quality, quantity, prices, and shelf life of the incoming supplies are according to the purchase orders.
  6. Where appropriate, obtain specialist opinion on the quality of the supply from the department concerned.
  7. Secure the product received on behalf of the hotel and arrange delivery to the respective department or stores without delays.
  8. Create credit notes where appropriate.
  9. Document hotel properties returned, send out for repairs and refilling, etc.; and follow up on their return.
  10. Update the accounts payable with all supporting documents at the end of the day.
  11. Maintain updated documents related to supplies on order and in the inventory system.
  12. Assist the Assistant and Cost Controller with month-end inventories and their reconciliations.
  13. Assist the Assistant and Cost Controller in the administration of the Inventory system.
  14. Assist in carrying out quarterly, bi-yearly, and yearly inventory of operating equipment.
  15. Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Cost Controller and Assistant Cost Controller.
