Roles and responsibilities
  • Provide 'realtime' support and analysis as a trusted adviser to addvalue that will assist in decision-making and will play a key rolein driving the business forward. Serve as a liaison for businessunits providing proactive financial insight, understanding,consultation and support to business. Mediate between businessunits and central Finance team to ensure the proper visibility ofall aspects of financial performance within the business area suchas budgeting, variance analysis, cost center reporting and accrualcalculations

ACCOUNTABILITIES KeyAccountabilities:

  • Relationships:As a liaison between business unit and central Finance function,support business in delivering on its key financial objectives,both its cost budget as well as financial performance throughefficient running of key financial controls. Liaise with sales andfinance team for timely collection, overdue receivables and bouncedcheques. Liaise with the Credit Control department to acceleratethe process of collections
  • Facilitation:Summarize P&L and recommend strategic action plan toGeneral Manager to bring performance to budgetary level, with rootcause analysis. Conduct trend analysis and KPI benchmarking ofactivities to support the General Manager in setting targets,governing processes and implementing best practice. Ensureeffective, efficient and accurate month-end close process acrosscosts, capex and balance sheet, overseeing and reviewingperformance of key activities
  • OperationalSupport: Develop and maintain new BI reports in Qlik view based onBI enhancement plan. Track business performance, trends througheffective tracking tools/reports, dashboards, vehicle sales andstock positioning for departments and locations on a daily, weekly,monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Review of monthly results forits accuracy before Final result and also prepare a reason for thedeviation between actual and budgets. Communicate with thecorporate Finance team for any rectification entries requiredbefore the final closing
  • Planning: Lead theforecasting and budget cycles for the business area. Develop annualoperating budget, coordinate with GM to assign targets to linemanager, and monitor adherence to budgetary provisions. Maintainbudget information in the ERP /other system to maintain the detailsof the approved budget and its utilization. Provide analysis andassessment of growth scenarios andoptions
  • Service Delivery: Authority shall begiven for certain matters as per the authority matrix. Develop andmaintain performance reporting metrics such as Corporate Planner(budgeting tool) to facilitate smooth extraction of budget relateddata and subsequent preparation of budget

  • Know how: Present reportsto top management with emphasis on strategic elements that portraysperformance via balanced scorecard. Lead market and competitorstudies to understand the company's position and providekey inputs to the product development teams to assist in the designof new products, service packages and pricing strategies JobSpecific Information
  • Manage the relationship inparticular with the Automobile businesses
  • Firstpoint of contact to address all financialrequirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE,COMPETENCIES Qualification (e.g. Academic Qualification,Certifications,Licenses)

  • Bachelor'sdegree in Financial Management or Accounting or equivalent (CA/ACCA/ CIMA/ CPA)
  • A Finance certification ispreferred Experience
  • Minimum 6 years of workexperience in Finance in similarrole
  • Experience in Automotive Industry ispreferred Core Competencies
