Roles and responsibilities

A senior partnering role, workingclosely with non-finance business leaders to provide forwardlooking analysis/guidance, commercial insights and support of adhoc queries. The role will work closely under the direction of theFinance Manager to proactively engage in project pricing, projectterms negotiation, live project reviews, variation management andworking capital performance, to materially improve operationalperformance and build commercial acumen across theRegion/s.

The role will develop, mentor andempower direct team members to provide commercially focusedfinancial solutions andadvice.

Roles &Responsibilities

  • Provide trusted financial advice tokey stakeholders to align business direction, financial strategies,utilising a variety of data sources to support sound decisionmaking.
  • Conduct analytical reviews on projectbudget/effort and engage with various levels of management fordiscussion to facilitate decisionmaking.
  • Provide support and financialmanagement to major projects within thebusiness.
  • Prepare and analyse various monthlymanagement reports ensuring compliance with policies andprocedures.
  • Analyse and review actual v budgetexpense accounts on the Profit and LossStatement.
  • Collaborate or advise with TenderReview Group on major project pricing to assess profitability andrisk.
  • Develop and improve work processes andactivities ensuring compliance with key policies and frameworkrelating to financial management.
  • Addressqueries from Group Finance, tax, internal and externalauditors.
  • Drive business engagement with theannual budget process.
  • Assist in other financerelated issues as they arise or directed by the Finance Manager orrequired by Project Managers, Project Directors, OperationsManagers and Business Group Managers.
  • Supportand coach team around technical delivery, performance,communication of complex data and client service, ensuring keyobjectives are met – targeted to individual strengths andteam needs.
  • Foster an environment of continuedlearning and continuous professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree, accountingmajor.
  • Pursuing or completed CPA/CAqualification or equivalent is highlydesirable.
  • 10+ years' experience, 5+in a similar role with experience in an international organisationpreferred.
  • Professional services, engineering,construction or project management industry experience is highlydesirable.
  • Ability to operate under ambiguityand develop new ideas and businesssolutions.
  • Proven ability to influence, manageand prioritise across diversestakeholders.
  • Highly developed communicationsskills, both oral and written.
  • Experience indelivering commercial outcomes.
  • Experience inproject pricing desirable.
  • Experience inmonitoring projects, analysing discrepancies and initiatingproactive, corrective actions.
  • Provenstakeholder and relationship skills.
  • Experiencein influencing, leading or developing teams.
