Roles and responsibilities
  • Assign, Direct, and manageCrane maintenance teams, to ensure specified tasks are performedefficiently, fulfilling the requiredstandards.
    • Direct andcarry out the preventive tasks as per schedule for the properupkeep of the equipment. Assess PM/CM/BK outcomes and failures toupdate PM scope.
      • Plan andmanage all predictive maintenance activities on all liftingequipment, in close consultation with Team Leader in order toexecute in a safe, effective, efficient, and economicalmanner.
        • Draft, plan workorders and prepare for planned Major shutdown activities in thecorporate maintenance management system (SAP) and in close liaisonwith Team Leaders to determine priorities in order to prepare adetailed work schedule and minimize downtime andcost.
        • Identify & analyze chronicproblems, breakdowns, and malfunctions in order to performeffective remedial actions to minimize potential impacts on safety,environments, and production operations, including arrangingspares, special tools, and material requirements and directing theteam accordingly.
        • Liaise with relevantpersonnel in Production, Safety & other Departments toobtain PTW, risk assessment, safe job analysis, toolbox talks& Transportation as per the activityrequirement.
        • Ensure that all maintenance andtechnical documentation is completed correctly and prepare regularwork reports and specific technical reports when required. andmaintain a record of all maintenance activities for easy access toany internal and external auditors andsurveyors.
        • Identify and evaluate critical assetspare inventory, consumables, and special tools. Initiate purchaserequisitions as required to support and secure the operationrequirements, consulting with the line TeamLeader.
        • Follow up on obsolete spare parts,check availability or equivalent, and retrofit/upgrade/replacementof obsolete spares.
        • Evaluate and verifyemployee performance through the review of completed workassignments and work techniques. Identify staff development andtraining needs and ensure that training is obtained and appraisetheir performance on a quarterly and annualbasis
        • Maintain a high level of HSE awarenessand continue with Risk assessments, toolbox talks, monthly safetymeetings & HSE observations and fully comply with all HSErequirements.
        • Initiates the Work Permit byentering the necessary details, Receiving it, and complying withits requirements.
        • Shall be fully aware andunderstand all relevant regulations and procedures of the PTWsystem.
        • In the event of an emergency, ensurethat the work is suspended, the worksite is left in a safecondition, all sources of ignition have been extinguished and allmachinery has been switched off.
        • Ensureincidents are correctly reported to enable the correction of thesituation and help prevent similar futureoccurrences.
Desired candidate profile

Requirements

Essential:

  • Mechanical Engineering(or Diploma with reasonable experience).
  • 8-10years' work experience in offshore lifting equipmentoperation and maintenance, at least 5 year(s) of working experiencein the related field is required for thisposition.
  • Must have excellent leadership skillsand be able to motivate staff forteamwork.
  • Good in the English language(reading, writing, and communicationskills).
  • Familiar with the use of computerizedmaintenance management systems such asSAP.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Officeprograms.
