  • Identify potential suppliers, conduct supplier evaluations, and negotiate contracts to obtain the best value for the organization.
  • Manage the purchasing department, including store and logistics.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including engineering, production, projects, and finance teams, to understand project requirements and develop procurement plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements related to wastewater treatment procurement.
  • Analyze procurement data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
  • Track and maintain inventory, perform month-end reconciliation, monitor the aging of inventory, and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Generate summary and analysis reports for management review.
  • Representation in internal and external ISO audits.
Key Generic Skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build effective relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment equipment and relevant regulations and standards governing is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and any relevant ERP system).
  • Good oral and written English - Preferred.
  • UAE Driving License - Preferred.
