  • Responsible for maintaining andupgrading (up to schedule level details), the automatedconsolidation tool - BPC
  • Responsible for datagathering and other coordination activities for ESR filings inlocal as well as offshore jurisdictions.
  • Shouldbe well versed with the implications of UAE CT laws, particularlythose surrounding Holdcos, FZEs, exempt income, audit disclosuresas per IFRS, etc.
  • Responsible for advising onpractical applications of the UAE VAT law, particularly dealingwith FZEs in the aviation sector.
  • Responsiblefor arranging data and support activities for any other compliancerequirements.
  • Assist with any other ad-hocexternal reporting as and when it arises.

InternalReporting

  • Responsible for adhering to themonthly close timetable of the company and for post-closeactivities, including consolidation of results at a grouplevel.
  • Periodic review of general ledger andother accounting records of group entities and ensure compliancewith accounting policies andprocedures.
  • Detailed understanding of theunderlying accounting records and transactions to ensureappropriate consolidation entries arerecorded.
  • Responsible for preparing accountingpositioning papers/advice on the treatment of critical accountingmatters/transactions of the group based on IFRSprinciples.
  • Responsible for preparing materialsto be submitted for the quarterly board reportingpack.
  • Responsible for assisting in the creationof automated group reportingdashboards.
  • Responsible for preparing andanalysing weekly funds position reports for management.

Enhancement/streamliningActivities

  • Assist in conceptualization,implementation, roll out and upkeep of a comprehensive groupreporting plan
  • Should take the initiative inassisting with the automation of multiple manualreports.
  • Work to extend the ability of the BPCtool to be a one-stop solution for snap retrieval of consolidatednumbers, serving multiple reportingneeds.
