Crescent Petroleum is seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Analyst to join its team. This role will be responsible for providing financial reporting services to support the company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with Group auditors to ensure smooth completion of audits, resolving audit queries, and reviewing audit reports and deliverables.
- Prepare and coordinate quarterly/annual statutory audits of standalone entities and group consolidation.
- Maintain and upgrade the automated consolidation tool - BPC.
- Gather data and coordinate activities for ESR filings in local and offshore jurisdictions.
- Stay up-to-date on UAE CT laws, particularly those surrounding Holdcos, FZEs, exempt income, audit disclosures as per IFRS.
- Advise on practical applications of the UAE VAT law, specifically dealing with FZEs in the aviation sector.
- Arrange data and support activities for other compliance requirements.
- Assist with ad-hoc external reporting as needed.
- Adhere to the monthly close timetable and post-close activities, including consolidation of results at a group level.
- Review general ledger and accounting records of group entities to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Gain a detailed understanding of underlying accounting records and transactions to ensure accurate consolidation entries.
- Prepare accounting positioning papers/advice on critical accounting matters/transactions based on IFRS principles.
- Prepare materials for the quarterly board reporting pack.
- Assist in creating automated group reporting dashboards.
- Prepare and analyze weekly funds position reports for management.
- Assist in conceptualizing, implementing, rolling out, and maintaining a comprehensive group reporting plan.
- Take the initiative to automate multiple manual reports.
- Work to extend the ability of the BPC tool to serve as a one-stop solution for snap retrieval of consolidated numbers, meeting multiple reporting needs.
