As a Villa Host you are required to maximizeand exceed guest satisfaction by providing highly personalizedefficient and responsive service with attention to detail andanticipating guests needs. Take ownership and leadership of allvillas assigned to you including supervising directing assistingand ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest villas. VillaHost is instrumental to achieve our goal of providing the highestprofessional standards of service to ourguests.

Please note that this is not anexhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. Anantara employees always find new ways to look after the businesstheir guests and their colleagues. the key responsibilities forthis position are:

GENERALRESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performduties in accordance with the Standard Operating procedures andGuidelines of the resort.
  • Assist Front OfficeDepartment with daily operations checkin checkout andupselling.
  • Maintain high standards in personalappearance. Is well groomed hygienically clean and properly attiredin uniform to carry out duties at alltimes.
  • Behave and carry out tasks andresponsibilities in a professionalmanner
  • Punctual to report for duties and promptto disseminate services to guests.
  • Is wellorganized to carry out job tasks with necessary accessories readyand at hand.
  • Fully aware of arrivals departuresand guest movement in the resort.
  • Alwaysprepared to handle guest requests complaints and suggestions andfollow through to maximize the servicestandard.
  • Knowledgeable about fire and safetyprocedures.
  • Deals Guest comments and concernssystematically and keeps superiors informed of thesame.
  • Committed and suggests/introduces newinitiatives that are focused on enhancing the guestexperience.
  • Report health or safety hazards tothe supervisor.
  • Perform other duties asassigned by the Management.
  • Initiate contactwith guests before arrival and proactively gather preferences forresidences.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment areprepared/stacked/organized in the villas and pantries at alltimes.
  • Attend all briefings conducted &follows up with daily arrivals departures and other importantinformation.
  • Ensure a place of guest courtesiescomplementary items and amenities in the villas as specified andcarries out its delivery and timelyclearance.
  • Facilitate arrivals and departuresaccording to set procedures.
  • Prepare necessarymiseenplace in the allocated pantries and villas to facilitateefficient service.
  • Ensures the Private cellarand minibar are stocked and checked prior to guest arrival. Alsoensures that the Private cellar and minibar are refilled and thebills are posted during thestay. 
  • Knowledgeable of the serviceand quality of all types of wines available in the Privatecellar.
  • Aware of the procedures for laundryvalet service and is ready with requirements to carry out same in aprofessional manner.
  • Maintain logbooks makinglog entries as per the log standards and going through them everyday as soon as coming to shift.
  • Attend dailybriefings and meetings as scheduled.
  • Checkguest profiles and guest history of specific guests allocated tohim prior to the guests arrival and be familiar with all theinformation.
  • Ensure the villa is set upaccording to guest preferences and follows up with other areasaccording to the details available in the guesthistory.
  • Ensure all arrivals amenities such asfruit platter beverages according to VIP codes; foot ritual coldtowels and welcome drinks are in order.
  • Checkthe arrival villa prior to arrival as perthe
  • Meets the guests upon arrival at the resortand VIPs at the airport if requested.
  • Prepareand offer foot rituals and welcome drinks to guests in thevilla.
  • Introduce guests to the resort and theirvilla. 
  • Ensure the registration cardis filled and signed and handed over to the reception with therequired copies of vouchers.
  • If guests have anyother requests like laundry or baggage unpacking attends to themimmediately.
  • Coordinate guest requirements withother departments and follows up to ensure all queries are handledto maximum guest satisfaction.
  • Meet guestsregularly.
  • Educate recommend and assist guestsof using and indulging in resortsfacilities.
  • Offer guests a tour of the islandand introduce the resort facilities.
  • Offer on adaily basis menus for lunch and dinner obtain the orders in advanceand passes those to the Restaurant Manager inroom roomdining.
  • Aware of the daily lunch and dinnermenu to take orders from guests and place with theIRD.
  • Assist guests with any purchases required.Eg: Toiletries post cards postcards from resortboutiques.
  • Check and ensure that bed makingbaby cots rollaway beds turndown service are done according to theguests preference.
  • Make arrangements forexcursions and dining by design.
  • Assist guestsin foreign currency exchange or matters related topayments.
  • Hand over and takes over any guestfaxes and emails.
  • Attend to flightreconfirmation/special transfer requests if any and coordinate withreservation and Front Office.
  • Speak to theguest the night before departure and explain departure procedures.Offers guests wake up calls or early morning breakfast or any otherrequests which guests have.
  • Facilitates villacheckout.
  • Ensures guests luggage pick up isorganized by effectively liaising with FrontDesk.
  • Ensure guest has cleared safe and allbaggage has been transported out.
  • Check thevilla for any lastminute consumption in the private cellar and keepthe front desk informed about it.
  • Check thevilla thoroughly to ensure that no guest belonging is leftbehind.
  • Monitor guest comments and follows upas necessary.
  • Attend behavioral and vocationaltraining in own and related work areas to enhance skills anddevelop multifunctionality.
  • Ensure that allfellow associates follow Safety rules and operatingprocedures.
  • Aware of all house rules andassists in enforcing them on associates.
  • Alwaysconduct himself/herself in such a manner to encourage allfellow team members to do likewise.
  • Maintain afavorable working relationship with all other company employees tofoster and promote a cooperative and harmonious workingclimate.
  • Project at all times a favorable imageof the company resort anddepartment.

Qualifications :

Excellent communicationskills
Fluency in English additional language is aplus
Minimum 1year experience as a Butler/Villa Host;preferably in a similar quality hotel
