Roles and responsibilities
  • Develop and implementinternational growth strategies and initiatives, targeting newmarkets and business opportunities in the port, logistics, andmaritime industries.
  • Conduct market researchand analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, andpotential risks in internationalmarkets.
  • Establish and maintain strategicpartnerships with key stakeholders (internal and external),including government agencies, industry associations, and privatesector entities, to promote the organization's globalpresence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to develop new businessopportunities.
  • Manage the internationalbusiness development pipeline, ensuring timely progress andalignment with the organization's strategicobjectives.
  • Monitor and report on theperformance of international projects, providing regular updates tosenior management and stakeholders.
  • Roll out ofthe prepared strategies within the wider ADPG Group, includingClusters and other internal stakeholders (M&A Team andCorporate Commercial team)
  • Regularly interactwith internal stakeholders (including Regional CEOs) and Clustersfor strategy related topics
  • Evaluate Projectsincluding financial and commercials analyses, as well as leadingdue diligence processes with externaladvisors
  • Ensure that the BD Team retain theright focus in terms of projectsprioritization
  • Prepare internal and externalupdates (Presentation, Reports, IC / Board Materials etc). Solidexperience with PowerPoint and Excel is amust
  • Acting as the project lead and developingfull business cases.
  • Industry knowledge: deepunderstanding of the port, logistics, and maritime sectors,including market dynamics, key players, emerging technologies, andindustry trends. Familiarity with various transportation modes,such as shipping, rail, and road, and their integration in theglobal supply chain.
  • Market research: expertisein conducting market research and competitive analysis to identifyopportunities, assess risks, and inform the development ofinternational growth strategies.

  • Establish clear performanceexpectations and goals, providing regular feedback and conductingperformance evaluations.
  • Facilitatecross-functional collaboration and communication, ensuringalignment between the international strategy team and otherdepartments within the organization.
Desired candidate profile
  • Contribute to thedevelopment of the organization's overall strategic vision,ensuring that international growth strategies align with andsupport the broader organizational goals ofADPG.
  • Engage with industry thought leaders,staying current on best practices and trends in the port,logistics, and maritime sectors.
  • Represent theorganization at international conferences, events, and trade showsto promote the organization's brand and establish itspresence in the global market.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's orMaster's degree in Business Administration, InternationalBusiness, Maritime Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Managementor a related field.
  • Demonstrated track recordof successfully overseeing international projects with a focus oninternational strategy, business development and marketexpansion.
  • Minimum of 8 - 10 years of relevantexperience in ports, logistics and maritime industries, preferablywith global ports and maritimecompanies.
  • Demonstrated experience in projectmanagement with a strong track record of managing complex,cross-functional projects in an international context. A ProjectManagement Professional (PMP) certification or similar is aplus.
  • English proficiency and preferably otherlanguages such as Arabic and French is aplus.
